Pay Range: $37,500 to $41,600
Job Summary
The Production Associate I is responsible for performing various production activities including but not limited to; assembling components in production, stacking product, moving material within the warehouse, receiving and processing material into inventory to help meet departmental goals, and picking, packing, shipping sales orders. The Production Associate I is also responsible for a specialized task that is unique to the associate. This position will require the lifting of heavy materials.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Prepare outbound orders, receipt of inbound materials
- Assemble components in production and apply graphics.
- Perform a specified specialized task
- Performs necessary inventory transactions needed in warehouse and participates in cycle counting activities.
- Follow standardized procedures involving safety, shipping, picking, packing, and special labeling
- Participate in warehouse cleaning, organization and safety programs
- Able to react to change productively and handle other essential tasks as assigned
- Overtime required when necessary to meet production operational goals
- Able to safely operate fork trucks and other equipment
Skills and Abilities Required
- Good communication skills, both oral and written
- Ability to read work orders and standard work documents; receive oral instructions to determine work assignments, material, or equipment needs
- Experience working in a continuous improvement/LEAN environment preferred
- Experience with vinyl graphic application preferred
Education and Experience Required:
- Education Requirements:
- High School Diploma Required/GED
Computer equipment and level of software requirements:
- Experience with ERP, WMS, and Shipping Software preferred
Specific Knowledge, licenses, certifications required:
- Valid certification to operate forklifts preferred
Training Requirements:
- Must be trained and certified within Luxor on all equipment within facility (even if other certifications exist upon employment date)
- Must be trained on pick/pack/wave and process orders for KB and Luxor
- Trained in cycle counting, work orders, inventory transfers and adjustments.
- Full knowledge of all SOP’s within the facility in all operations
- Trained on graphic “skinning” to KB standards
Physical Demands:
- Able to lift 50 pounds
- Ability to stand for long periods of time during a standard eight-hour work shift
