The Creative Assistant’s role is to perform daily activities to support the head of Creative in executing product launches, updating photo listings, and editing photos for various marketing needs. The role of the Creative Department is to create photos and content in line with Stand Steady’s customer centric, whimsical brand to increase sales volume and customer satisfaction with our products.


The Creative Assistant’s primary responsibilities are to take and edit photos, create product listings, and manage freelancers. This position requires speed and expertise in Photoshop, creativity, a positive attitude, and excellent time management and communication skills.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND Responsibilities:


  • Manage the team’s launch schedule to ensure products are photographed and edited, and the listings created and approved, on time.
  • Determine plan for what images are needed and how they will be created. Hire and manage models, freelancer photoshop talent, and/or render firms.
  • Self-manage schedule to ensure all images are ready on time and up to Stand Steady quality expectations.
  • Quickly and effectively photoshop product images for product listings, ads, and other marketing materials. Editing work includes background removals and adding images to stock photos.
  • Create videos & GIFs for short format videos and edit videos for shorter ad segments.
  • Manage planning for and setting up photoshoots for our products. This includes shopping for props and managing return of props.
  • Lead photoshoots to shoot images that reflect the product features and our brand.
  • Hire and manage models for photoshoots onsite or on location.
  • Manage all details around offsite shoots, including booking models and locations.
  • Assist head of Creative in defining our brand and keeping our look and feel modern and up to date. Continually research the competitive landscape and attend webinars to keep our listings and images modern and well positioned for customer clarity and conversion.
  • Manages their own daily priorities and responsibilities to meet deadlines, company priorities and perform duties independently throughout the day.




  • Assist team as needed with projects and tasks
  • Create A+ content on Amazon listings
  • If skilled, create product videos, assembly videos, and potentially social media videos
  • If skilled, create or manage renders
  • Assist as needed with website management





  • Experience in photography – 4 yrs min
  • Experience with Photoshop – 4 yrs min
  • Problem solver
  • Ability to multi task
  • Positive, can do attitude
  • Experience with web optimization (preferred)
  • Video editing (preferred)
  • Rendering experience (preferred)
  • Large format printing experience (preferred)




  • Work History Requirements:
    • Creative team work experience – 2-4 years
    • Management experience – 1-2 years


  • Education Requirements:
    • Bachelor’s Degree



Computer equipment and level of software requirements:


  • Photoshop – intermediate
  • Illustrator – beginner
  • Video editing - beginner
