The Internal Communucations Manager works collaboratively with the Marketing and Corporate Communications team to develop effective, integrated, communication and marketing campaigns for EBSCO Industries. This position plans, develops, manages, and executes internal communications, initiatives and events.

Responsibilities:

  • Works with the Marketing and Corporate Communications team to support EBSCO’s initiatives by assisting with employee engagement strategies, plans, and objectives; aids in developing strategy; ensuring brand consistency; and executing projects.
  • Works with the team to develop internal communications campaigns and programs to support employment branding, employee engagement, and the education of new initiatives and programs within EBSCO. 
  • Works collaboratively with the Employee Engagement Team in the planning and executions of events/projects that support the overall goals of the business.
  • Drafts project plans, including timelines and project briefs, for internal communication initiatives.
  • Writes internal communications for EBSCO Industries and provides writing assistance for other communications and marketing deliverables. (Internal Communication Emails, Intranet and Internet Articles, External News Releases, etc.)
  • Develops and executes social media strategy for EBSCO Industries.
  • Collaborates on the development of the monthly corporate newsletter.
  • Works with Vice President of Marketing and Corporate Communications on EBSCO’s philanthropic efforts; tracking the events EBSCO participates in; determining the audiences for each event; coordinating RSVPS; handling the requests/needs of the agencies; ensuring brand consistency.
  • Coordinates production where needed for execution of internal communication projects- photography, video, print, etc.
  • Works collaboratively with Service Centers to support key initiatives.
  • Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities and continuous improvement initiatives related to internal communication, employee engagement, and integrated marketing.
  • Accomplishes organization goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job/role.
  • Seeks continuous improvement ideas for the department, EBSCO Industries and the many EBSCO businesses.

Requirements:

  • Five or more years’ experience in a corporate communications role, human resources role, or marketing equivalent experience.  
  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, advertising, public relations or related field.
  • Proven writing skill set - Writing portfolio must be submitted along with application for consideration.

 

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in print, web, digital, and social media marketing.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Experience with event planning.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize workload.
  • Positive Attitude
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Project management software experience a plus.
