Primary Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Requests renewals and plan documents from carrier partners
  • Provides support on all post-renewal administrative tasks
  • Facilitates the workflow on documentation/signature collection
  • Maintains current data in multiple data bases
  • Maintains and updates client data files on team shared drive as directed by Sr. Consultant or department procedures
  • Assists with supervision on Open Enrollment needs. Ex.  updating/creating benefit guides, preparing materials and coordinating open enrollment meetings for clients
  • Acts as liaison between client and insurance companies to independently resolve all service problems.  Specifically, assists the client in resolving billing, claim, eligibility, COBRA and customer service problems or issues.
  •  Performs audits of client invoices
  • Coordinates and assists with onboarding new clients
  • Schedules and organizes complex activities such as meetings, travel, conferences and Employee Benefits department activities
  • Retrieves information from files when needed. Establishes, develops, maintains and updates library materials for presentations, etc.
  • Works independently and within a team on special nonrecurring and ongoing projects. Acts as project manager for special projects, which may include: planning and coordinating multiple presentations, disseminating information, coordinating direct mailings, creating brochures.
  • Proofreads content for spelling, grammar and layout, making appropriate changes. Responsible for accuracy and clarity of final copy.

 

Required Qualifications:

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, Outlook and Power Point.
  • A commitment to secure AL Life and Health Insurance License within one-year time frame
  • 1-2 years of administrative experience and/or customer service experience in the Employee Benefits or HR related field
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills and exceptional ability to pay close attention to details
  • Self-starter and able to work independently

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associate (AS) degree or higher
  • 1-2 years of related experience
  • Exposure or experience in the Employee Benefits industry is a plus - either with a carrier or in a corporate HR/Benefits setting
