Job Summary

EBSCO seeks a full-time Assistant Hunting Farm Manager to support the Wildlife Biologist/Farm Manager, located in Moundville, Alabama.  This role will assist the overall operations of a hunting farm, which may include tasks related to wildlife management, habitat maintenance, customer service, and property upkeep. 

Job Responsibilities

  • Property Maintenance:
    Caring for the farm's infrastructure, including buildings, fences, roads, and equipment. This may involve general maintenance, repairs, and ensuring the property is safe and well-maintained.
  • Habitat Improvement:
    Assisting with the creation and maintenance of food plots, cover plots, water sources, and other habitat improvements to enhance wildlife populations and hunting opportunities.
  • Equipment Operation:
    Operating and maintaining farm equipment, including tractors, ATVs, and other machinery used for various tasks such as planting, harvesting, and maintaining the property.
  • Safety Compliance:
    Ensuring adherence to all safety regulations and protocols related to hunting, equipment operation, and overall farm operations. 
  • General Farm Duties:
    Performing a variety of other farm-related tasks as needed, which may include tasks related to livestock management, crop production, or other aspects of the farm's operations. 

Job Requirements

  • 1+ years' experience working a tractor is required
  • Hunting experience preferred, but not required
  • Experience in taking care of farming animals to include clearing away animal waste and clean and sterilizing farm equipment is a plus, but not required

Essential Job Function

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. 
  • Ability to perform physically demanding tasks outdoors in various weather conditions
  • Ability to communicate effectively with hunters, staff, and other stakeholders
  • Proficiency in operating and maintaining farm equipment, including tractors, ATVs, and other machinery
