The Vice President of Operations will be instrumental in shaping and executing the operational strategies of Moultrie. The ideal candidate will have a track record of developing teams and building operational processes to enable innovation and ensure quality in consumer electronics. We are seeking an experienced leader with a deep understanding of electronics manufacturing, supply chain management, and operational strategy. The VP of Operations will report directly to the General Manager and work closely with the leadership team to ensure operational efficiency, drive continuous improvement, and support the company’s strategic objectives.
Responsibilities:
- Develop, lead, and manage the operations team, including hiring, training, and mentoring team members.
- Develop and implement operational strategy and resourcing plans to achieve company goals and objectives.
- Oversee the supply chain from end to end, including commodity management, purchasing, inventory management, and logistics, ensuring cost-effective operations and on-time delivery for our customers.
- Lead risk mitigation and scenario planning to minimize disruptions to our business and customers. Develop contingency plans to ensure business continuity. Develop comprehensive risk assessment processes andscorecards for all key operational areas and vendors.
- Establish and maintain rigorous quality standards for products and processes and processes to enforce those standards, recognize and remediate quality shortfalls, identify improvement opportunities from customer
- feedback, and meet customer expectations and regulatory requirements. Reinforce feedback loops between customers, Hardware, Software, Product, and the Customer Success teams.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key vendors and development partners to ensure product partnerships, on time delivery, quality, and cost efficiency.
- Build mechanisms to leverage data analytics and demand forecasts to optimize inventory levels and make proactive adjustments to align with customer needs and market trends.
- Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure success, drive operational excellence, and foster of a culture of continuous improvement and accountability.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant industry regulations and safety standards.
- Validate ROI for key operational projects and drive their successful execution.
- Foster strong relationships with key internal stakeholders (e.g., Finance, Device, Marketing, Sales, and Customer Success teams) to ensure smooth coordination across the product lifecycle, from development to launch to end-of-life.
- Develop and manage the operations team budget, ensuring resources are allocated effectively and expenses align with business objectives.
- Partner with senior leadership to identify and address scalability constraints.
- Serve as a strategic sounding board to the General Manager.
- Work with the leadership team to make decisions that impact Moultrie.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a similar field. Masters degree preferred.
- 10+ years of professional experience in operations management.
- Experience in an operations role in consumer electronics directly managing sourcing / supply chain preferred.
- Experience with Lean Six Sigma a plus.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills (both written and verbal).
- Experience working in a rapidly growing consumer electronics business preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to leverage data to develop and execute business strategies.
- Proven ability to motivate and communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels
