Job Summary

PRADCO Outdoor Brands seeks a creative, self-sufficient content creator to join its Hunting Division Marketing Team as Social Media Specialist. This role owns organic social media for seven premium brands: Summit Treestands, Texas Hunter Products, Knight & Hale Game Calls, Code Blue Scents, Whitetail Institute, Ani-Logics Outdoors, and MAXXTUFF.

This is a rotating-priority role, with focus shifting towards different brands as seasons change. Turkey season, spring/fall food plot planting windows, pre-season preparation, the rut, and year-round land management each pull a different brand to the front of the calendar. The Social Media Specialist is responsible for building and running that staggered calendar, capturing and editing content in the field and in-house, publishing daily, engaging the community, and reporting on performance.

This position owns organic content and community; paid social and boosting are handled separately, though this role's content and insights inform them. It reports to the Digital Marketing Manager and requires strategic thinking, hands-on creative ability, and comfort switching between distinct brand voices and audiences. This position requires timely responses, accurate information, and flawless content delivery. The person in this role takes pride in being the one who keeps the brand’s presence sharp, reliable, and aligned with its identity. This role requires someone who thrives on accountability, cares deeply about the consumer, and treats each brand voice as a professional standard to uphold.

Job Responsibilities

  • Build, maintain, and execute a rotating seasonal content calendar across all seven brands, aligned to deer and turkey seasons, food plot planting windows, mineral and attractant timing, feeder and stand pre-season demand, and year-round land management activity
  • Reprioritize brand focus as seasons shift, keeping non-peak brands present and consistent while concentrating effort where it will return the most
  • Capture and edit phone-native vertical content (Reels, Stories, and in-feed video and stills) in the field and at the office, turning product and field footage into publish-ready posts
  • Write and publish organic content on Facebook and Instagram as the primary channels, maintaining a distinct and credible voice for each brand
  • Evaluate and pilot emerging platforms and formats as audience behavior shifts, and recommend where the brands should expand
  • Engage with and respond to comments, messages, and reviews; moderate community discussion and escalate product, warranty, or service issues appropriately
  • Serve as liaison to internal customer service teams so consumer communication is seamless and information is accurate
  • Collaborate with the Digital Production Specialist on higher-production photo, video, and graphic assets, and adapt studio and campaign assets into social-native formats
  • Work with the Marketing & Influencer Relations Coordinator to curate high-quality partner, pro staff, and consumer content, and help identify future partnership opportunities
  • Communicate regularly with each brand's Brand Managers and Engineers to ensure products, specifications, and use cases are represented accurately
  • Work against tight deadlines supporting sales initiatives, new product launches, events, and recurring seasonal messaging
  • Gather and analyze channel and post-level data; deliver regular reporting with KPIs and specific recommendations for improvement
  • Present weekly and monthly performance analysis and upcoming content plans in marketing and brand-specific meetings
  • Track social media trends and conduct competitor analysis across the hunting, outdoor, and land management categories
  • Support broader marketing initiatives, including assisting with photo and video shoots, attending occasional promotional events, and other duties as required
  • Assist other PRADCO brand marketing teams as needed with social content brainstorming, creation, and consultation

Job Requirements

  • B.S. or B.A. from an accredited college or university in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field

    • Shooting and editing phone-native photo and video content for social platforms
    • Writing and proofreading brand copy with outstanding attention to detail
    • Managing multiple projects and priorities with minimal oversight against aggressive timelines
  • Portfolio, reel, or links to social accounts you have personally created content for and managed (required with application)
  • Ability to travel occasionally for shoots and events, including some weekends during peak season

Preferred Skills

  • Familiarity with deer and turkey seasons, food plot and land management practices, and the products hunters and landowners rely on; direct hunting or land management experience is strongly preferred, and a candidate willing to learn the categories quickly will be considered
  • Knowledge of Sprout Social or equivalent content planning platform
  • Proficiency with mobile and desktop video editing tools for vertical short-form content
  • Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud (Premiere Pro, Photoshop, Lightroom), Microsoft Office, and Outlook
  • Experience with social scheduling and listening platforms, Meta Business Suite, and Google Analytics 4
  • Experience working from digital asset management (DAM) and product information management (PIM) systems
  • Superb organizational skills and a demonstrated track record of social media project management across multiple brands or accounts
  • Knowledge of fundamental market research techniques and the ability to develop research strategies that determine customer requirements and evaluate market competition
  • A background in the hunting, fishing, agricultural, or outdoor sporting goods market is highly preferred

Essential Job Function

  • Plan, create, schedule, publish, and monitor organic content across social platforms to effectively represent each brand to customers and consumers
  • Shoot and edit social-native content independently, including on location and on short turnaround
  • Foster community with a unique voice for each brand, and respond to consumers in a timely and accurate manner
  • Collaborate with business unit team members to ensure brand messaging and brand standards are upheld across all social platforms
  • Maintain an in-depth working knowledge of current social platforms and identify emerging opportunities to grow each brand's audience
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working at a computer
  • Occasional travel to field shoots, trade shows, and promotional events; ability to work outdoors in varying weather and terrain and to lift and carry up to 25 pounds of camera, product, and shoot equipment
