What We’re Looking For
Moultrie Mobile is seeking a talented staff accountant to join our team as we continue to experience organic growth withhin our business. You will report directly to the VP of Finance and perform all aspects of accounting, monthly reporting, and annual budgeting.
Responsibilities:
- Performs accounting functions within Infor, Zuora, and SAP
- Performs general cost accounting and maintains accurate standard costs
- Maintains the general ledger
- Lead month-end closing and reconcile balance sheets
- Reconciles bank accounts, verifies deposits, and addresses inquiries from banks
- Files sales and use tax reporting monthly
- Maintains knowledge of acceptable accounting practices and procedures
- Analyze business unit-level financial statements and report out actual vs budget variances across all departments
- Update monthly KPIs
- Calculate, report, and pay 3rd party commissions and royalties
- Facilitate CTSI (3rd party freight consolidation software) invoice approvals and weekly pay file audit
- Maintain and record prepaid and fixed assets
- Prepare journal entries
- Review appropriate GL accounts allocated to vendor invoices
- Assist with cycle count results and be on site for the annual inventory test counts
- Perform annual budgeting
- Support shared service closing duties
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience in accounting at a consumer goods and/or a manufacturing company.
- Proficiency in Excel with a focus on Vlookups and pivot tables
- Experience with ERP and accounting systems, preferably Infor Lawson/M3.
- Ability to multi-task, set priorities, and meet strict deadlines.
- Strict attention to detail, highly organized and efficient
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certifications such as CMA and CPA
