Moultrie Mobile is looking to add a Senior Software Engineer to the team. This position will be focused on implementing new features and creating solutions for the Moultrie Mobile platform, as well as other hunting division software projects.  As a team member, you will be accountable for implementing improvements based on best practices in a manner that is maintainable, scalable, testable, and works within the continuous delivery pipeline.  You will also be working cross-functionally with Product, Customer Service, Marketing, and other engineering departments to ensure the completion of visions and timelines set by the business. He or she will grow the business by thoroughly understanding the marketplace and competition, and by developing products that address consumer needs and staying abreast of the latest software trends.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Working in a cross-functional team developing mobile and back-end features
  • Deliver high quality multi-platform projects using Microsoft development technologies
  • Demonstrate highly effective approaches to object-oriented software development based on industry best practices.
  • Design, build, test and maintain scalable, secure, and testable code
  • Mentor new and junior team members
  • Monitor crash reports, identify solutions and implement fixes
  • Provide estimates and participate in agile development
  • Writing and maintaining unit tests
  • Work with the dev team, product owners, and stakeholders to get clarification on business requirements and then implement solutions including code development and database design

Required Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering or related field (or equivalent years’ work experience)
  • Demonstrated willingness and ability to adapt and learn new technologies and processes
  • 5+ years of professional development experience
  • Minimum of 5 years related experience in following:
    • .NET framework and/or .NET core
    • SQL Server
    • Entity Framework
    • Knowledge of common design patterns (Inversion of Control, Dependency Injection, etc.)
    • Cloud experience
  • 3+ years in some of the following:
    • Source Control
    • Azure DevOps
    • Unit Testing
    • Mobile Development

Preferred Skills:

  • Azure
  • Xamarin Forms or MAUI
  • Event/Message based architecture
