As the Product Manager for the Feeder Category, you will own the entire feeder product line and product development process. You will manage products throughout the complete product lifecycle, from idea to end of life, working cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, Operations, and Engineering. You have experience in consumer electronics and a track record of successfully evaluating markets, developing business cases, writing detailed product requirements, and creating long-term roadmaps to deliver high quality, innovative products customers love.

 

Responsibilities:

 

  • Serve as the subject matter expert and main point of contact for Feeder product line.
  • Synthesize inputs from retail customers, end users, suppliers, and competitive testing to develop strategy and new product roadmaps for the Feeder category.
  • Parter with in-house and external research support to test concepts and identify key value drivers.
  • Develop requirements for new products based on deep understanding of customers.
  • Establish target retail pricing and cost targets in partnership with Finance and Operations.
  • Translate detailed requirements to hardware and software engineering teams and evaluate feasibility and timeline implications based on feedback from engineering.
  • Oversee creation of project timelines with Program Management for on-time delivery to meet retail customer needs.
  • Work cross-functionally with Marketing, Sales, CS, and Operations to drive products from concept to successful launch.
  • Assist Sales and Marketing with creation of sales decks and marketing collateral and attend sales meetings as needed.

 

Basic Qualifications:

 

  • 5+ years of experience in product management.
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Business, or equivalent work experience.
  • Experience in managing “Stage Gate” processes for developing consumer products.
  • Experience working with 3rd party ODMs to develop, test, and troubleshoot products.
  • Background in the hunting, fishing, or outdoor sporting goods market

 

Preferred Qualifications:

 

  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
  • Proficient in Asana or similar project management tool.
  • Experience with connected devices (cellular preferred)
