Job Summary
The Lead Test Technician is responsible for analyzing Moultrie Mobile products to determine if the desired quality and specifications are being upheld. The inspected products and tasks will include development products, current product lines, competitive products, and routine quality checks of multiple models. The Technician must be self-motivated and able to follow, document, and if necessary, create procedures/processes. Findings need to be documented and effectively communicated to multiple levels of management. As a lead, this role also directs the day-to-day work of other test technicians, makes independent testing decisions within established quality standards, and owns the processes that keep testing consistent and repeatable. As a “high confidence, low ego” team player, the Lead Test Technician will work with brand engineers and product managers to ensure product testing and other tasks are executed in a consistent and thorough manner. The Lead Test Technician for Moultrie Mobile Trail Cameras must be detail oriented, and easily adapt to new situations.
Job Responsibilities
- Test multiple products and types per test suites
- Documentation and generation of detailed reports.
- Testing electronic devices for functionality, standards, and performance
- Verify product specifications.
- Perform routine maintenance of test benches, equipment, instruments, facility, etc.
- Follow a detailed test procedure and complete the necessary paperwork to record and report test results.
- Oversee test plans to ensure thoroughness and completion
- Assist with managing workload and prioritizing tasks
- Direct and coordinate the daily work of test technicians, assigning and prioritizing tasks across the team.
- Make independent decisions on test prioritization, pass and fail dispositions, and escalation, using sound judgment within established quality standards.
- Own, document, and improve test processes and procedures to keep testing consistent, repeatable, and thorough.
Job Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Must be able to work flexible hours.
- 1-2 years of Electrical troubleshooting experience
- At least one year of experience in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- 1 or more years of experience leading, coordinating, or supervising a small team or workflow.
- Demonstrated ability to make sound, independent decisions under time and quality pressure.
- Experience creating, documenting, and managing processes or standard operating procedures.
Essential Job Function
- Associate degree in Technology or Electronics or related field.
- Familiarity with test and troubleshooting equipment (meters, wiring tools)
- 2-4 years of electrical troubleshooting experience
- Passionate about the outdoors.
- Ability to work independently as well as within a team.
