General Description:

Would you enjoy the creative freedom that comes with brand ownership? Are you looking to develop and execute the creative vision for some of the largest consumer brands in the outdoor industry? If so, you could be the future Creative Director for PRADCO Outdoor Brands Hunting Division. At PRADCO, you will have the tools needed to create your vision, and also the stability and life-work balance that is so rare in the agency world. Our growing portfolio of brands offers diverse creative challenges, along with the opportunity to nurture and build those brands over time. The Creative Director will be responsible for concepting, executing and managing creative output across a range of mediums including print, digital, packaging, and sales materials. The right candidate will possess a strong balance of design ability and business acumen. Understanding key business objectives and translating them into visual assets and messaging for PRADCO’s various brands will be essential to success. This unique opportunity ensures the Creative Director’s work will be on display in America’s largest retailers and advertising platforms. The position will be nested in a centralized Marketing Department, reports to the Director of Marketing, and will work cross-functionally with other departments such as Brands and Sales. Scope & Responsibilities:

  • Elevate the overall design and messaging capabilities of the Marketing Department
  • Drive various creative projects from conceptualization to completion
  • Enforce brand standards such as colors, fonts, typography, imagery and tone for all outgoing art files 
  • Create or redesign product packaging on an annual basis for all brands  
  • Collaborate with Sales Team to build a range of sales materials including Line Review decks, in-store signage, POP, sales sheets and more
  • Concept and design a multitude of digital assets including social media posts, e-comm images, website materials, infographics, emails and display ads  
  • Design for ad hoc projects such as tradeshow booths, prototype marketing, print ads and end cap displays
  • Collaborate both internally and externally to develop campaign messaging and copywriting
  • Manage internal design resources as needed
  • Work with outside vendors to obtain best combination of pricing/quality for printed materials

 

Basic Qualifications:

  • B.A. from an accredited college/university with a concentration in Design  
  • 5 years’ experience with a creative agency or in-house creative department
  • High proficiency in the Adobe Creative Suite including Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, and Lightroom
  • Experience successfully managing projects and people  
  • Highly organized w/ a strong bias for meeting deadlines
  • Proven excellence in design ability and achieving business objectives through design
  • Ability to provide rationale behind design
  • Articulate, with excellent communication and presentation skills

 

Preferred Skills/Experiences/Traits:

  • Copy writing experience as it relates to campaign taglines, advertising copy and related projects
  • Background and/or interest in hunting and outdoor sports
  • Advanced skills with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Upholds honesty, integrity, and business ethics always
  • Works effectively across departments, with a team-first mentality
  • Driven towards constant improvement and never accepting the status quo
  • Ability to multi-task on multiple projects concurrently and willing to switch focus quickly
