Job Summary
The Content Merchandising Lead will be responsible for shaping and optimizing the digital shopping experience on Moultrie.com. This role plays a critical part in driving conversion, engagement, and revenue growth by ensuring product presentation, site content, and merchandising strategies are best-in-class and data-driven. You’ll oversee how products and content are positioned across the site, ensuring customers can easily discover, learn about, and purchase Moultrie’s innovative products and services.
The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented digital merchandiser with proven success managing e-commerce platforms, a passion for delivering exceptional consumer experiences, and a strong ability to balance data insights with creative storytelling.
Job Responsibilities
Site Merchandising & Product Optimization
- Own the end-to-end digital merchandising strategy and execution for Moultrie.com.
- Define and implement product categorization, navigation, filtering, and search strategies that improve discoverability and user experience.
- Ensure all product detail pages (PDPs) include accurate, compelling, and SEO-optimized content (titles, descriptions, imagery, specs, videos, and tags).
- Lead seasonal assortment transitions, new product launches, and promotional campaigns to ensure seamless execution and alignment with business goals.
- Continuously A/B test layouts, placements, and product recommendations to improve conversion and average order value (AOV).
Content Strategy & Development
- Create and manage a sitewide content calendar for category pages, PDPs, landing pages, and blog content.
- Partner with creative teams, copywriters, and designers to develop educational, inspirational, and conversion-focused content tailored to Moultrie’s outdoor enthusiast audience.
- Drive SEO strategy within merchandising and content to maximize organic visibility and traffic.
- Maintain brand consistency across all touchpoints, ensuring content reflects Moultrie’s tone, style, and product positioning.
Performance & Analytics
- Monitor and report on key site metrics such as conversion rate, click-through rate, bounce rate, average revenue per visit, and merchandising ROI.
- Leverage tools (Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, heatmaps, session replay tools, etc.) to identify user behavior trends and inform merchandising decisions.
- Translate insights into actionable recommendations that improve site performance and customer journey flow.
- Develop dashboards and reporting frameworks to track the ongoing success of merchandising initiatives.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with Go-To-Market, Sales, Performance Marketing, UX/UI, and Development teams to align merchandising and content strategies with broader business priorities.
- Collaborate with Inventory Planning, Supply Chain, and Operations to ensure site availability and accurate product representation.
- Act as the subject matter expert on site merchandising best practices, providing guidance and influence across teams.
- Support leadership in defining and refining digital commerce strategies that enhance customer lifetime value.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, E-commerce, Communications, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 5+ years of direct experience in digital merchandising or site management for consumer product brands, preferably in hardgoods or consumer electronics.
- Hands-on experience with e-commerce platforms (Magento/Adobe Commerce preferred; Shopify, BigCommerce, Salesforce Commerce Cloud also valuable).
- Strong understanding of digital merchandising principles, customer journeys, and conversion optimization techniques.
- Proficiency in using analytics and testing tools (Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, Hotjar, Optimizely, etc.).
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Excellent project management, organizational, and prioritization skills.
- Outstanding communication skills with a collaborative mindset; able to influence across functions and levels.
- Passion for the outdoor industry and familiarity with hunting, wildlife, or outdoor sporting goods is a plus.
