Job Summary

Moves materials within a warehouse and completes other warehouse support tasks. Performs various operations, including unloading, picking, packing, counting, and checking items to maintain inventory. Operates hand trucks, forklifts, hoists, motorized conveyors, or other material handling equipment according to safety policies and procedures. May view or input information into a warehouse management system (WMS), enterprise resource system (ERP), or other database. Typically requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor. A01-Entry : Works under the close direction of senior personnel in the functional area. Possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job. May require 0-1 year of general work experience.

Job Responsibilities

  • Count, record, and organize materials returned to the warehouse from job sites 

    • Divert and organize construction waste ((wire, metal, electronic)

  • Receive materials and equipment delivered to the warehouse

  • Check deliveries to ensure the shipment matches the order and the  packing slip

  • Pick and pack materials for new and active construction

  • Update online systems for materials received into the warehouse and packed for construction

  • Assist with  periodic inventory counts on select items as directed 

  • Fill in for the Warehouse Lead when they are sick or on vacation 

  • Opportunity to assist in the field when the schedule permits

  • Digitally literate 

  • In possession of a driver's license and a vehicle   (Mileage is reimbursable at the federal rate)

  • Able to lift up to 50lb
