Job Summary
A Senior Business Analyst works cross functionally to provide exceptional customer service through high quality financial and operational analytics including (but not limited to) cost-accuracy and profitability analysis of our business. This role also leads continuous improvement projects driven by data and analysis as well as acquisition due diligence and integration.
Job Responsibilities
- Analyzes revenue, cost, and profit by customer, supplier, product type, and other related categories against prior periods and budget/forecast
- Develops knowledge as ERP Subject-Matter-Expert (SME) for reporting, searches (queries), KPIs and other related functions to enhance systems, data integrity, and ease of use.
- Serves as the Champion of a Continuous Improvement (CI) culture including creating tools and training on the process and tools in an ongoing (continuous) manner
- Leads Continuous Improvement (CI) initiatives to improve efficiency and accuracy throughout our processes
- Collaborate with business leaders to identify areas of opportunity to create company efficiencies that will increase business growth and profitability
- In collaboration with IT, drives system-related projects for enhanced reporting, improved data integrity, and business efficiencies
- Develops and conducts market research to provide valuable industry information and trends (e.g. NFPA, FPDA, etc)
- Answers questions, removes roadblocks, and coaches’ fellow associates regarding the most correct, efficient, and cost-effective processes by illustrating the collective win-win-win of a “job done right
- Trains/mentors Business Analysts
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Analytics/Statistics, Marketing, Finance, Accounting or other related field or equivalent work experience
- At least three years of progressive experience in analysis-related roles including internship experience
- Project Management experience or PMP certification
- Intermediate-to-Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
- ERP experience, preferably in NetSuite
