Job Summary

The Sales Consultant/Representative will report to the Sales Manager to develop and successfully execute a plan for selling products and services at acceptable order volume and profit margin into an assigned geography.

Job Responsibilities

  • Uses consultative sales techniques to ensure our customers’ success through the proper selection, placement and use of signage.  Conducts needs analysis with each prospect to understand organizational goals and provide the best sign solution.
  • Develops a sales pipeline to support and exceed annual quotas.
  • Follows Stewart’s sales methodology to maximize won opportunities, revenues, and profitability.
  • Effectively leverages product demonstrations and additional sales resources to secure orders.
  • Assist in the development of winning proposals/sales propositions.
  • Develop and maintain a working knowledge of Stewart products, capabilities, features, functions and operation to best meet the customer’s needs.
  • Key product knowledge will include digital LED sign capabilities and components, sign software, sign structure, mounting methods and installation process.
  • Complete the Sales training program.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, economics, marketing, technical area or similar industry.
  • 1-3 years of demonstrated, progressive sales success.
  • Internally motivated and a team player.
  • Goal-oriented, problem-solving, and continuous improvement mindset.
  • Demonstrated ability to learn technical product quickly or technical aptitude.
  • Excellent verbal and written skillsets, with the ability to develop and present winning proposals.
  • Superior negotiation skills.
  • Experience in value-based selling including abilities to successfully negotiate without being the lowest price solution.
  • Understand basics of proposal & sales agreement language to negotiate/finalize agreements.

Essential Job Functions

  • Will develop an effective sales activity pipeline of sufficient cold calls, referrals, lead qualification, sustainable relationships, acceptable order volume and product replacement opportunities;
  • Proactively follow up on new leads and customers. Promptly follow up on marketing campaign or trade show leads. Qualify leads to determine project viability;
  • May represent Stewart Signs at a variety of trade events and professional meetings

Preferred Skills

•              Previous selling, technical sales or other similar experience preferred
