EBSCO’s Ipswich-based Help Desk Team has an exciting opportunity for a Conference Room & Live Events Technical Coordinator to join their group. The Live Events Technical Coordinator will play a key role in defining & implementing a vision to build a better meeting experience at EBSCO Information Services (EIS).  The position requires a highly motivated, self-starter who can work closely with primarily three key teams (Technology, Facilities & the Enterprise Improvement Team), while developing relationships across the entire employee base for insight, buy-in and support.  This individual will have strong strategic thinking and technical skills to drive creative concepts from inception to flawless conference room & live event meetings execution. The Live Events Technical Coordinator plays a key role from conception of ideas, budgeting, on-site execution and end user adoption.  This role will build solutions around the various ways in which employees meet and collaborate.  Experience working with vendors to implement customer-centric solutions is critical.  The Live Events Technical Coordinator must have the ability to identify and pursue the best possible balance between creative concepts, technical capabilities and budgeting.

Primary responsibilities include:

  • Be a lead voice for employees, establish trust and confidence in the technical team’s capabilities.
  • Coordinate and drive conference room and live event technical projects from inception to conclusion.
  • Coordinate with Facilities to build “world class” meeting spaces that maximize employee collaboration, engagement and business value.
  • Oversee and participate in creating proposals, drafting budgets and expanding meeting solution offerings across all EIS geographies.
  • Build and maintain meeting areas that drive better collaboration in meetings of all sizes, both virtual, on-site, and hybrids.
  • Back up Help Desk staff as time permits.

Required Skills:

  • 3+ years – building virtual and actual conference room meeting audio and visual solutions
  • 3+ years – experience technically producing live events
  • 3+ years – experience with Microsoft Office 365 and all of its capabilities including “live events”
  • 1+ years – project management and budgeting
  • Willing to travel for projects at other EIS offices around the U.S. and world (2-3 weeks a year)

Preferred Skills:

  • 1+ years – configuring conference room hardware & software in support of Microsoft Teams
  • 1+ years – sourcing & configuring conference room furniture
  • Familiarity with ClickShare, Microsoft Teams, WebEx Teams, Cisco Spark, Crestron, Logitech Rally, various conferencing hardware
