The Content Marketing Senior Manager is an exciting opportunity to build a dynamic content strategy for our ecommerce business. The Content Marketing Senior Manager will grow and develop our B2C, B2B, and B2G strategies by establishing best practices as well as managing and executing content agenda. They are responsible for overseeing the content strategies focused on organic growth within the marketing department on all channels including SEO, PR, affiliate program, influencers program, blog, and email management. They MUST be an adaptable, knowledgeable in website marketing, data oriented, and result driven experienced Marketing manager.

 

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND Responsibilities:

 

Marketing

  • Hire, train, and manage a Marketing team of A-players of sufficient size and skills to meet our YOY revenue and profit goals
  • Empower team to monitor and optimize KPIs via A/B testing, researching, and testing new marketing techniques, testing new marketing channels, and best practice research
  • Generate new ideas and areas of opportunity for marketing team to increase CVR
  • Manage Marketing testing and optimization via all relevant media which may include online, marketpalces (Amazon, Wayfair, Best Buy, etc.), email and direct marketing
  • Develop processes and strategies for each section of the content business
  • Ensure launches are successful in building reviews and revenue to modeled levels by monitoring KPIs, testing new images, names, or pricing, and creating innovate solutions for slow sellers
  • Continually evolve the brand and brand guidelines through an understanding of who we are and how we want to be positioned in the marketplace
  • Develop and execute full funnel content strategy aligned with short-term and long-term marketing targets
  • Execute email marketing campaigns, including content creation, template design and development, list segmentation, campaign setup, deployment, and reporting
  • Develop, manage, and execute SEO strategies
  • Manage website and online sale, including weekly review of KPIs and marketing calendar, sign off on online collateral, and thought leadership on advertising strategy
  • Manage optimization of websites and SEO by using programs like Google Analytics, Google Optimize, Google Search Console, SEMRush and other best practices
  • Stay current on all new Amazon programs through research, reading the boards, attending conferences and webinars, joining seller groups, and maintaining strong relationships with our Amazon reps
  • Manage and analyze social media strategy on multiple social media channels to authentically build brand voice in the market and increase sales
  • Understand competitive landscape to stay relevant in customer searches
  • Manage PR team to drive SEO strategy and messaging
  • Compile monthly reports with relevant stats and metrics showing results
  • Develop and continually adjust process to easily communicate clearly with vendors and freelancers
  • Create and maintain SOPs and processes for various digital marketing projects as needed

 

Management Duties and Responsibilities

  • Attract, hire, and develop A-player talent in all roles
  • Coach and mentor direct and indirect reports by providing guidance, appropriate training, role clarity, and motivation that enable their success and establish a positive working environment
  • Oversee responsiveness of the team to inquiries and requests, and hold staff accountable for meeting service level expectations
  • Conduct quality employee performance reviews to evaluate performance to ensure the requirements of Luxor/Stand Steady are met, and that high performers are challenged with additional responsibility
  • Establish metrics (KPIs) for all operational processes and initiatives; develop data presentation format and report to manager on a monthly basis
  • Monthly review of P/L with manager to ensure margin structure leads to profit goals
  • Meet department deadlines as established in coordination with manager
  • Seek to continually improve processes in all areas as our business needs grow and change
  • Identify and propose technical, operational, and other business solutions to achieve financial targets
  • Manages their own daily priorities and responsibilities to meet deadlines, company priorities and perform duties independently throughout the day
  • Attend webinars and read content to increase specialist knowledge

 

 

OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 

 

  • Advocate for additional resources anywhere in Stand Steady / Luxor when the need is holding back revenue and profit growth.
  • Speaking with the press and/or representing the brand at PR opportunities
  • Modeling in Stand Steady photoshoots and speaking in videos, if needed

 

SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

 

  • Experience in eCommerce and other software packages including Google Analytics, Google Search Console, Google Merchant Center, SEMRush, Shopify, and Salesforce
  • Problem solver
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Positive, can do attitude
  • Proven ability as a manager of a team or teams including leadership and direct management/supervision of people

 

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

 

  • Minimum 3-7 years experience as a manager or senior manager in a similar role in a business in multi-channel eCommerce, including as an Amazon Seller (both FBA and FBM), and Shopify websites
  • Education Requirements:
    • College degree required

 

Computer equipment and level of software requirements:

 

  • Excel – Intermediate

 

Specific Knowledge, licenses, certifications REQUIRED:

 

  • Google Ads Certification - preferred
  • Google Analytics Certification - preferred
