EBSCO Industries is looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Manager that is dynamic and driven with a growth mindset.  The Accounts Payable Manager reports to the Accounting Manager and will be based at EBSCO’s International Headquarters campus in Birmingham.

 

Description:

The AP Manager will be responsible for overseeing invoice processing and payment for EBSCO’s US and international operations, coordinating the preparation and filing of 1099 and 1042-S forms annually, managing projects, and spearheading continuous improvement.  The candidate will interact closely with business units and accounting teams, and the environment will be fast-paced and team-oriented.

 

Responsibilities Include:

  • Lead the accounts payable team at EBSCO’s International Headquarters to support business objectives and provide customer superior service
  • Manage accounts payable for both U.S. and international operations to ensure accuracy, compliance, and prevent fraud
  • Prepare and file 1099 and 1042-S forms annually to comply with IRS regulations
  • Support continuous process improvement, efficiency, and effectiveness
  • Coordinate accounts payable projects and analysis

Skills & Qualifications:  

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 5+ years accounts payable experience
  • 2 + years of AP leadership experience

  • Advanced accounts payable, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to multi-task, set priorities, and meet deadlines
  • Attention to detail, highly organized, and efficient
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work in a team-oriented and dynamic environment
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills
  • Experience preparing and filing 1099 forms
  • Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite with advanced Excel proficiency
  • Ability to perform both high level and detailed root cause analysis
  • Provide recommendations for improvements in all aspects of accounts payable
  • Experience preparing and filing 1042 forms, preferred
  • SAP experience, preferred
