The Sr. Data Visualization Engineer II is an exciting, important, and highly visible role supporting the implementation of analytics solutions across EIS. The individual in this role is central to the creation and continuous evolution of data analytics, visualizations, and dashboards supporting product and engineering teams. Using your deep analytics expertise, business acumen, and creativity, you will work with stakeholders to provide solutions that unlock insights on reliability, engagement, and adoption of products across the customer lifecycle.


Primary Responsibilities:

·         Provide and support the implementation of analytics solutions by: Building relationships and partnerships with key stakeholders in PM and Development; identifying business needs; determining and carrying out necessary processes and practices; monitoring progress and results; recognizing and capitalizing on improvement opportunities

·         Empower teams to develop and implement Key Performance Indicators by: Facilitating the use of engagement, retention, A/B testing, and other user behavior metrics; Building data visualizations and dashboards in Amplitude, Excel, Tableau; and investigating and remediating data consistency issues

·         Lead or participate in multiple analytics initiatives by: Evaluating business requirements; managing project scope; determining priorities; ensuring efficient on-time delivery of initiative tasks; and managing stakeholder expectations on results

·         Provide leadership to team members and peers by: collaborating with others; articulating ideas and viewpoints to senior management, peers and others; identifying and initiating projects; managing resources; driving the resolution of issues; and holding self and team accountable for results

·         Construct optimized data visualizations that integrates information from multi-terabyte data sources including transaction, clickstream, customer, and content databases

·         Perform deep-dive analysis, including the application of advanced analytical techniques to solve critical and complex business problems

·         Serve as a product and solution subject matter expert on deriving insights from internal and external product telemetry

·         Collaborate with key stakeholders to develop analytics and business intelligence strategy

·         Collaborate with the Business Intelligence Business Owner in driving an analytics and BI solution set across teams through requirements, design, implementation, deployment, and ongoing improvements


Required Qualifications:

·         BS in Computer Science, Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience

·         6+ years technology experience with a data and analytics focus

·         Proficient knowledge of SQL

·         Experience conducting quantitative analyses on large and complex data sets

·         Experience in data science, preferably in AWS


Preferred Qualifications:

·         2+ years’ experience in Agile methodology 

·         Candidate with a mixture of software development, data engineering, and data science skills

·         Experience with clickstream analytics tools (Google Analytics, Amplitude,MixPanel) and A/B testing tools (Optimizely)
