The Sr. Vice President of Platform Product Management is a vital and highly visible leadership role responsible for EIS’ software platform. The individual in this role is central to the creation, implementation and continuous evolution of a platform-as-a-product strategy that seeks to harness the power of technology in support of the company’s business strategy and value proposition. Through the creation of a foundation of shared services, tools, knowledge, and support, platform product management facilitates data-driven decision-making, opportunity realization for the business, and targeted infrastructure improvements. Using your technical skills, business acumen, and creativity, you will work with senior stakeholders across the business to provide the governance, evangelism, and overall program management support to accelerate and optimize the creation and delivery of EIS product capabilities across the customer base.


The Sr. Vice President of Platform Product Management will be responsible for a team of Business Owners, Product Managers, and Enterprise Architects who work across product and platform ARTs (Agile Release Trains) to define, socialize, and execute strategies which are expressed through fourteen platform domains in areas such as authentication, analytics, search, content, and APIs.


In this role, you will collaborate with senior leaders and stakeholders across Product and Content Management, Development and Architecture, Customer Satisfaction, Finance, and Sales to identify, implement, and socialize best practices in the creation of actionable platform capabilities in support of EIS Products & Business Units.


Primary Responsibilities:

  • Drive the creation of roadmaps and long-range plans for the domains that comprise EIS’ strategic software platform
  • Design and implement effective processes for establishing and socializing platform KPIs and strategies
  • Provide coaching and oversight to platform domain leaders
  • Evangelize platform product management principles to include personas, market problem backlogs, and delivery of x-as-a-service capabilities
  • Rationalize and align disparate processes, tools, and vendors across the platform domains in order to realize cost both savings and economies of scale in providing unified services to all EIS business units
  • Provide insight and build vs. buy vs. partner assessment of potential acquisitions and strategic investment areas
  • Partner with key leaders to plan and execute migration of EIS’ legacy interfaces, content processing, and infrastructure footprints to a modern cloud native architecture
  • Work with other senior leaders to facilitate portfolio planning tradeoff decisions and establish a rolling five-year financial and technology investment model that supports the strategic company objectives of completing cloud migration while delivering on budget
  • Provide thought leadership, evangelism, and tactical execution support for evolving the EIS organizational structure to optimally support business value delivery through team empowerment, reduction of dependencies, and clarity of purpose
  • Provide leadership to team members and peers by collaborating effectively with others, articulating ideas and viewpoints, identifying and initiating projects, managing resources, driving the resolution of issues, and holding self and team accountable for results

Required Qualifications:


  • Bachelor’s degree with a computer science focus
  • 10+ years of experience in software product development or product management
  • 10+ years directly leading teams working in a matrixed environment
  • 5+ years working with advanced platform technologies, particularly in Cloud (PaaS, SaaS, IaaS), serving customers and end users at enterprise scale


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Impeccable written and verbal articulation of complex topics, both technical and business, to a range of audiences from individual team members to C-Suite executives
  • Exceptional team builder and attractor, retainer, and developer of direct and indirect talent
  • Structured and logical thinker, including the ability to dissect a problem into an organized approach and form a hypothesis against which to conduct requisite analyses
  • Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and working with finance partners

Demonstrated experience gaining alignment across a complex organization to balance delivery of tactical business needs with evolving a technology platform which maximizes reuse, reduces duplication, and accelerates value delivery
