Lead/Demand Generation Marketing Specialist--Remote

The person who joins our team in this position will play an integral role in developing and implementing strategies to increase the sales of NoveList products and drive business growth. Your mission will be to ensure that every library considers NoveList to be the definitive expert source of reading recommendations, collection development, promotional materials, and professional development training.

 

This is a full-time position. While NoveList’s headquarters are in Durham, NC, this person may work remotely from anywhere. The person who fills this role will be a member of the Engagement and Marketing team which plays a valuable role in the success of NoveList products. You’ll report to the Manager of Engagement and Marketing.

 

If you love developing creative, engaging marketing campaigns that speak to customers' needs and wants, enjoy digging into data to uncover trends and opportunities, and are a fan of libraries, we want you to apply.

 

What you’ll do

· Create, send, and track the effectiveness of email campaigns for all NoveList products using Marketo and LibraryAware.

· Create, deploy, and track the effectiveness of tactics on the NoveList website including page banners, landing pages, and pop-up lead gen forms.

· Create and deploy cross-selling and up-selling opportunities for all NoveList products.

· Produce and manage webinars that build brand awareness and drive customer leads and sales.

· Work closely with Customer Growth to create sales collateral.

· Keep informed about buyer problems, customer preferences, and decisions that will help us target the right customers, create better messaging, and structure marketing campaigns.

· Collaborate across teams to ensure alignment with other departments including Technical Support, Product Management, Book Discovery, and Technology, as well as EBSCO corporate.

· Demonstrate how your work helps NoveList achieve its business objectives and key results.

Knowledge and expertise that matter for this role

· Bachelor’s degree or similar education in marketing, communications, education, or related field

· 2+ years working in marketing, public relations, or a related field

· 1+ years experience creating email marketing campaigns with measurable goals and results

· 1+ years experience writing engaging, customer-focused marketing copy for tactics like flyers, blogs, email, and websites

· Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher, SharePoint and the Adobe suite of products (Marketo preferred)

 

What will set you apart from the rest

· Demonstrated ability to think strategically and proactively to do what needs to be done.

· Experience with a library, publisher, or library-focused organization as an employee or volunteer

· Experience with NoveList or EBSCO products and services

· Experience with Marketo, Workfront, and/or Asana

· Graphic design experience

· Experience producing and managing webinars or online events

· Experience in video creation and editing (using Camtasia, Vimeo, YouTube, or similar)

· Outstanding written and verbal communication skills

· Exceptional presentation ability

· Excellent organizational and project management skills, able to keep multiple projects with varying timelines on schedule

· Team player with a positive attitude, eager to learn, and adaptive to the needs and demands of the business.

· The ability to look beyond what has always been done to seek alternatives.

Target Annual Salary Range: $52,750.00 - $75,355.00. The actual salary offer will carefully consider a wide range of factors including your skills, qualifications, education, training, and experience, as well as the position’s work location.
