Cloud Content Development & Training –  


As part of the Cloud Business Office, you’ll be helping EBSCO Information Services operate in a cloud-first organization. You’ll be working across the enterprise to create and socialize content, and to co-ordinate training to help our enterprise operate effectively in the public cloud.  

The role requires strong engagement across the enterprise, and the ability to create content and training for cloud-first solutions.  As the primary person in this role for the organization, flexibility to create documentation, organize our knowledge base, co-ordinate 3rd party training or curating internal on-demand training are all highly desired. Someone who likes working on a variety of different activities would be ideal. 


What You’ll Do 

  • Contribute a genuine passion and enthusiasm for helping people understand how to operate in the cloud. 

  • Collaborate with the Cloud Business Office team to craft content and learning journeys to help our enterprise move to and operate in the cloud. 

  • Become subject matter knowledgeable in our capabilities.  

  • Drive first-class high-quality content and learning outcomes for our customers. 

  • Define and maintain our information architecture for our capabilities. 

  • Work with SMEs to organize, create, assemble, edit, publish, and curate product documentation for internal audiences (mostly engineers). 

  • Drive the quality and effectiveness of the content and training. 

  • Organize, curate, and publish training offerings via the EBSCO Learning Management System. 

  • Partner with 3rd party training to deliver cloud training. 

  • Use content and training to simplify and accelerate our enterprise’s adoption of the public cloud 

  • Pursue new and effective methods for delivering online content and eLearning courses.

Essential Criteria 

  • Experience in content authoring (documentation, video, multi-media) for technical audiences. 

  • Experience in training delivery for technical and leadership audiences. 

  • Experience in coordinating training or other related events across many teams/organizations. 

  • Experience defining and implementing information architectures for highly technical products and services. 

  • Ability to define and drive content authoring and training delivery needs for the organization. 

  • Exhibits strong customer focus and relates to the customer learning journey. 

  • Excellent soft skills including communication, organization, presentation, and training abilities. 

  • Online content authoring and training samples are expected. 


Desirable Criteria 

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in communications, English, instructional design, education, or other relevant discipline. 

  • Familiarity with software engineering topics (design, automation, testing, APIs, data, etc.). 

  • Familiarity with public cloud infrastructure concepts. 

  • Ability to quickly grasp complex technical concepts and make them easily understandable to others. 

  • Experience in creation of training for technical audiences. 

  • Proficiency with E-learning and authoring technologies. 

  • An eye for visuals and graphic design, and familiarity with image/video editing tools. 

  • Demonstrated ability managing against deadlines, including coordinating others to help meet these deadlines. 

  • Familiarity with web-based content creation tools (e.g. Confluence, SharePoint, etc.) 

  • Accommodate an Eastern Time Zone working schedule.
