Agile Product Manager, EIS Clinical Decisions


Lead the development life cycle for medical products, collaborating with engineering and product managers on key decisions to ensure consistency & scalability across medical platforms & user interfaces. The current platform encompasses many distinct web and mobile user interfaces, their administrative and reporting tools, and a growing set of APIs.  Stay current with industry and competitive trends to inform platform decisions.  Work with Medical Agile Release Train teams to deliver working software based on features prioritized by the Medical Program Team. All within the SAFe framework.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Work with customers, product managers and other stakeholders to align with roadmaps and strategy, understand their needs, define requirements, and guide work, schedule it for release, validate stakeholder responses and provide feedback.
  • Manage communications and relationships with all stakeholders, ranging from Product Managers, developers, designers, QA engineers, architects, requirements analysts, sales, marketing and customer satisfaction staff.
  • Understand capacity parameters and strategic themes that influence the technical work and ensure they are taken into account.
  • Continuously communicates the product vision to the development teams and define the features of the system. Collaborate with System and Solution Architects to define and maintain nonfunctional requirements (NFRs), to help ensure that the solution meets relevant standards and other system quality requirements.
  • Manage Agile Product Owners assigned
  • Develop well written features with comprehensive feature acceptance criteria according to SAFe principles
  • Maintain a roadmap to illustrate how features are to be implemented over time.
  • Manage and prioritize the flow of work by prioritizing features into the program backlog.
  • Participate in Program Increment planning with all relevant stakeholders and team members.
  • Participate in regular system demos.
  • Build an effective Product Manager/Product Owner team.
  • Understand and lead toward Long Range Plans

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 3+ years of experience as a Product Manager, Product Owner or Business Analyst in a software development environment OR equivalent experience
  • 3+ years of experience with Microsoft programs such as Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • 1+ years of experience with software development in AWS

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3+ years of Technical Product Manager and/or Product Owner experience
  • 5+ years software development experience
  • Ability to define and document product requirements using SAFe
  • Demonstrated success in a matrixed, fast-paced environment
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills
  • Demonstrated excellence at prioritizing projects
  • Ability to delve into and document highly technical discussions around technology, dataflow and workflow situations.
  • Experience and/or education in the library field a plus
  • Computer Science Degree or other related discipline
  • SAFe experience
  • Pragmatic Product Management experience
