Join the EBSCO Team, with GOBI Library Services in this role which employs a consultative sales approach for products that provide workflow solutions designed to increase library efficiency.

This is a field role with responsibility for the NT, QLD, NSW & ACT territories, therefore travel within this area is required. The role will work from a home office located in Sydney or Brisbane. The role reports to the Director of Sales – GOBI and Subscription Services.

THE ROLE

  • Consults with libraries to evaluate and develop effective workflow improvements.
  • Identifies new sales opportunities while retaining current business and profitability goals.
  • Develops and maintains strong relationships with customers, providing support, research and guidance including recommendations for new products or service improvements.
  • Communicates and interacts with multiple departments to ensure the fulfilment of customer requirements.
  • Remains up to date on industry trends and competitor activities to ensure that relationships are maintained and enhanced with the clients.
  • Prepares and submits required territory report accurately and on schedule.

WHAT YOU REQUIRE

  • You will have 5 years’ experience in library or publisher services with a Bachelor Degree in Library Science.
  • On-site presentation skills will be well developed and enhance the development of strong relationships with clients.
  • You will be proactive, self-sufficient, highly driven, creative and fearless.
  • The ability to demonstrate achievements in accordance with KPI’s and detail at interview what actions you have undertaken to attain these.
  • Have excellent communication skills in English including oral and written, displaying confidence in all interactions at all levels.
  • Grooming and presentation will be of a professional standard and your ability to establish rapport with clients at all levels is essential.
  • A valid Driver’s license and the ability to perform overnight travel will be essential.
