EBSCO’s marketing team is looking for an experienced marketer to help grow its clinical decisions suite product lines. The ideal candidate understands the needs of physicians, nurses, pharmacists and other clinicians and has clinical marketing experience. The Sr. Clinical Marketing Manager will report to the Vice President of Clinical Marketing and will work very closely with a team of passionate Marketing professionals along with the Product Management team and the Medical Sales team.  


Primary Responsibilities:

  • Develop, execute and measure strategic marketing programs for a portfolio of medical point-of-care products to build awareness, drive lead generation, support product adoption and renewals and inform purchasing decisions
  • Coordinate the planning and execution of the marketing programs with many internal and external stakeholders
  • Create and update presentations and other materials as determined outlining product vision, technical direction, features, functionality, and workflows
  • Communicate marketing plans and results to department leadership and brainstorm strategies to further increase brand awareness and lead generation in target markets
  • Create engaging content for mailings, newsletters, blog posts, and the website
  • Produce marketing collateral including “at-a-glance” sheets, flyers, infographics and other materials as determined
  • Ensure ongoing customer outreach and education through newsletters, webinars, and other means as determined
  • Plan and execute webinars in coordination with external and internal stakeholders
  • Measure and analyze results from programs and use that knowledge to drive improved results
  • Write copy for any/all applicable marketing materials and campaigns with assistance/coordination from Marketing team members 
  • Work closely with the PR and social media team to develop an effective social media strategy and drive social engagement
  • Work with channel managers for graphic design, web development, search engine marketing, and conventions & events to create effective multi-channel Marketing efforts
  • Support clinical Sales team with any/all applicable Marketing materials
  • Support clinical training/implementation team with any all materials to increase end user engagement with applicable Clinical Decisions products 
  • Work directly with key partners (EMR providers, Specialty Associations, etc.) to optimize outreach and engagement with clinicians



Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in marketing or a related field (advanced degree preferred)
  • 5-7+years experience in marketing
  • 5-7+years experience in managing complex, deadline driven marketing projects.
  • Experience in product launches, retention marketing and brand awareness campaigns
  • Experience in both B2B and B2C healthcare marketing
  • Experience with SEM, social media, 1:1 marketing via marketing automation and other modern and traditional marketing approaches 


  • Strong planning and rigorous project management skills, and the ability to effectively manage multiple projects, prioritize, be detail-oriented
  • Clinical/healthcare Marketing experience
  • Excellent writing and presentation skills (native-equivalent fluency in speaking and writing English required)



 Preferred Qualifications:

  • Clinical work experience or Clinical Education is a plus 
  • Specific experience in a hospital/health care setting
  • Specific experience in managing marketing efforts related to clinical decision support, including knowledge of EMR workflows and other HIT initiatives 
  • Should be detail-oriented and conscientious 
  • Must be a team player working well across groups and departments
  • Familiarity with evidence-based clinical point-of-care resources is preferred and candidates with clinical training and/or work experience (for example, as a physician, physician’s assistant) are encouraged to apply
