The Marketing Data Analyst will drive visualizing and analyzing all marketing funnel campaign metrics and related data to help the business understand performance/impact and improve the department’s overall productivity and accountability. The Analyst will help craft a holistic, data-centric approach to inform key marketing decisions that will allow for ongoing enhancements in how we approach marketing campaigns and activities. The Analyst will serve as the department lead/expert on metrics, and work to ensure we are maximizing our new metrics platform’s use and functionality. 

Responsibilities:

  • Partner closely with marketing leadership and key stakeholders cross-functionally (Sales, Business Intelligence) to determine optimal approaches to metrics tracking across the full marketing funnel
  • Ensure connections to existing data sources are set up and working on an ongoing basis and address gaps as needed; responsible for data modeling and combining numerous complex data sets from many different marketing and sales sources
  • Work cross-functionally to facilitate necessary data connections and cleansing activities to ensure data integrity and optimal ongoing reporting
  • Build easy to use, visually compelling dashboards and reporting and uncover and formulate/articulate meaningful insights back to the business by audience (c-suite/executive leadership, marketing, sales/PM, etc.)
  • Support ad-hoc marketing metrics/analysis requests that come in, and adjust and/or create dashboards as needed
  • Look to identify new and/or other sources of data to further enhance our metrics tracking and improve data collection, analysis and reporting
  • Serve as the primary lead in communication of marketing metrics cross-functionally, and training of dashboard usage to internal stakeholders to ensure actionable insights are understood and leveraged

 

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 4 years’ experience working in a marketing analytics role
  • Strong analytics background with the ability to dive deep into details but also understand and convey strategic, actionable insights
  • Experience developing data visualizations/dashboards using various data visualization tools (e.g. Tableau)
  • Experience working with SQL and Excel modeling as well as working with various CRM systems and marketing tools (e.g. Marketo, Google Analytics, etc.)

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of Qlik, a data analytics software platform
  • Ability to work well collaboratively and communicate across all levels and functions
  • Ability to juggle many simultaneous requests and/or projects at one time while maintaining solid communication with relevant stakeholders
  • Detail-focuseded and sensitive to the importance of managing high data quality
  • Experience within a B2B (business to business) company
  • A self-motivated, proactive individual who takes initiative to drive our metrics initiatives forward

 

 

Target Annual Salary Range: $78,150 - $111,640
