As a Agile Product Owner (APO), you will work with a development team or teams to build functionality for EBSCO based products and services that make up the EBSCO Books Portfolio.

As a connecting point between product management and technology you will utilize a unique blend of business and technical savvy to make the company vision a reality. You bring in-depth knowledge of your discipline and have the critical thinking and analytical skills required to solve complex problems and take a new perspective on existing solutions.  You are capable of leading projects with accountability, as well as the ability to act as a resource for colleagues. 

APOs are agile team backlog owners and the guardians of product quality. You will be responsible for the effective translation of business and technical features into clearly defined requirements and will serve as the point person for these requirements as they are implemented by development teams in alignment with the ART Program Increments.

You will participate in customer user research and will take an active role in amplifying the voice of the customer, and the product line strategy to your development team(s). You will stay apprised of key technologies utilized by your team as well as technology trends, to keep apace. As you collaborate with your team to deliver value, you’ll help develop appropriate documentation, product positioning, and release plans and well as playing a critical role facilitating business acceptance testing.

  • Effective demonstration of working software to stakeholders
  • Ensure high quality software releases to our customers

Required Qualifications

  • At least four years working in a Product Management role as a Product Owner, or Business Analyst, in a software delivery capacity OR equivalent experience
  • Four or more years of proven experience working in lean-agile software development environment
  • BA degree or higher preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience and training

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in the use of a variety of business analysis tools and techniques to aid in the breakdown of large chunks of work, elicit requirements, or make decisions
  • Experience in product management and delivery of consumer facing software or services
  • Experience working within a Lean-agile software product development method, such as Scrum, Kanban, or SAFe
  • Experience with software development in AWS
