EBSCO Information Services’ Canadian Office located in Markham, Ontario, is seeking a Customer Service Representative to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven customer service environment. The Representative will manage a portfolio of accounts that includes college and university libraries, as well as Government agencies,  providing assistance with selection, ordering and renewal of magazines in both print and digital format.  EBSCO’s Customer Service team is top rated by our customers, and we are looking for a candidate who is committed to providing a high level of service. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated and enjoy working independently but also willing to collaborate internally with other customer service staff as well as with other departments within the company to generate ideas and address customer issues. Strong organizational skills, creative thinking, and time management skills along with problem solving skills are essential, as is flexibility and a willingness to learn new skills and adapt to a changing environment.


Basic Qualifications:

• 1 or more years of customer service or clerical experience.

This can include experience in a retail environment.

• A minimum of 1 year demonstrated experience using MS Word, EXCEL, Outlook and Internet.


Preferred Skills:

• Fluent in French language, both written and oral

• Employment experiences in handling varied administrative tasks that are non-routine and not repetitive in nature.

• Excellent organizational and follow-up skills
