EBSCO Publishing (d/b/a EBSCO Information Services) seeks a Tableu Dev Lead/Architect in Ipswich, MA.

 

We are looking for an experienced Tableau Development Lead/Architect to join the new team (EBSCO and vendor) which will be creating a premium analytics solution that will enable librarians to understand their users’ behavior, their collections, services and facilities usage.  This analytics solution, built on a platform comprised of AWS and Tableau, will collect, store and visualize data. This key Technical Leadership position will work closely with the vendor and with the EBSCO team to ensure vendor’s adherence to EBSCO reference architecture standards and infrastructure requirements.  This person will assist the vendor in critical activities for the project related to on-barding new customers, automation of on-boarding process, and serve as a key resource in the transition to EBSCO. The position requires documenting Business Reqs, development of Func/Tech Designs, develop dashboards/analytics, quality check and direct other team members. 
 
Responsibilities:
  • Establishing vendor technical escalations and ongoing operational relationship management
  • Publish and maintain technical / best practice documentation;
  • Managing vendor to adhere to EBSCO reference architecture standards; 
  • Assist with designing and architecture of Tableau applications to translate requirements into architecture needs;
  • Responsible for delivery of solution using Tableau, provide leadership and review work done by team members 
 
Required Skills:
  • Bachelor's degree in information science, data management, computer science, mathematics or related field
  • Minimum 8-10 years overall Tableau experience
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in Architecting Visualization / Analytics using Tableau (both extracted and live connected data sources)
  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience in Data Modeling and Business Analytics
  • Experience in working with the Product owners, Architects, developers to deliver the solution in timely manner. 
  • Strong analytic skills and ability to develop, and implement analytical data models and dashboard and reports using Tableau to enable customers to analyze data and make business decisions. 
  • Experience in recommending best practices for building data visualizations using Tableau 
  • Experience in rolling out Tableau as Self-service solution for large number of users 
  • Experience with Agile Development
  • Solid understanding of data management concepts - data processing, analysis, visualization, security and discovery.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
