Mission

 

The role of Senior Director, Marketing Digital Experience & Design in EBSCO’s Marketing Department oversees global Marketing website development, related user experience strategy, design operations, Marketing technologies, elements of customer experience that tie to customer support, and various multimedia/digital marketing activities across a suite of market segments and product lines. The successful candidate will manage and grow the ebsco.com presence together with cross-departmental stakeholders to ultimately to act as critical entry point to all aspects of EBSCO’s online resources – from marketing pages to customer experience and access to the product suite – leveraging newly established means for authentication. The ability to engage technical, creative and business stakeholders across the organization to drive projects forward in a team environment will be critical to the success of the role. A larger sense of brand identity, customer experience and design expertise together with a metrics-driven approach is critical to move the EBSCO portfolio forward in consistent, unified way across various initiatives and teams. This position will act as a senior leader within the Marketing department, reporting to the SVP or Marketing.

 

Primary Responsibilities

  • Manage a multi-dimensional team specifically covering Marketing design operations, analytics, SEO, web development, technology stack, UX and multi-media design/creation
  • Manage all aspects of the Marketing Web experience for all market verticals, across 15 product lines in multiple languages
  • Ensure that the Marketing Technology stack is optimized, working with the Directory of Marketing Web Development & Technologies on web content management, digital asset management across Marketo, CRM, etc.
  • Scale Search Engine Marketing (SEM) and develop traffic acquisition strategies with aggressive growth goals
  • Work across Marketing teams to ensure optimal processes and output (Social, PR, Sales Support Tools, Email/Automation, International Marketing, etc.)
  • Be a driver for cross-departmental collaborations with Product Development, Product UX, Customer Support, Sales, and Marketing for ultimate orchestration of customer touchpoint and internal needs
  • Maximize web experience leveraging advanced features of Marketing Automation tools
  • Be a leader and advocate for emerging technologies to support lead acquisition, engagement and conversion

 

Required Qualifications

  • 8+ years of digital marketing, design and UX/ customer experience roles
  • 5+ years leading high-performing digital Marketing team
  • 5+ years in active leadership role within a collaborative environment
  • 3+ years across SEO, SEM, Agile, Web localization

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advanced degrees in applicable areas (design, UX, etc.)
  • Knowledge/Experience in B2C digital marketing/web development
  • Experience working with Drupal, Marketo, Web personalization and chatbots
  • Brand identity management experience at enterprise level
