Project Manager, Clinical Decision Support

The Project Manager, Clinical Decision Suppor (CDS) is responsible for the overall management and delivery of projects related to clinical decision support for EBSCO Health, ensuring goals and objectives are accomplished within prescribed timeframes and budget. He/she will oversee each project from initiation and planning through closure, working with internal resources throughout the organization. He/she will serve as the internal consultant on business requirements for projects and manage information flow between project members, senior management, and others.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership and guidance to project personnel to ensure project remains on time and on budget.
  • Develop and document scope and goals of each project.  
  • Design measurable success markers and track project performance.
  • Partner and collaborate with product team members and leaders to move key initiatives forward.
  • Encourage and engage others in discussion to build trust among team members by communicating ‘early and often’.
  • Communicate clearly to stakeholders on progress towards goals, including effectively presenting findings to all levels of staff, targeting the presentation to the knowledge and needs of the audience.
  • Evaluate how changes may impact the organization’s operations and maintain awareness of implications across all related teams.
  • Support operational improvement initiatives within the project, in partnership with clinical and administrative leadership as appropriate.
  • Schedule, communicate and collaborate with outside vendors to meet project timelines.
  • Demonstrate advanced time management and analytical skills.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in project management
  • 2+ years of experience in process improvement
  • Knowledge of leading project management software
  • Demonstrable experience in:
    • Negotiation, consensus-building, and conflict resolution skills
    • Strategy develpment and action planning
    • Develpment of monitoring tools

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in a matrix organization
  • Strong background working in healthcare information
  • Project Management certification (PMP)
  • Broad knowledge of Lean or Agile (SAFe)
  • Exceptional judgment and discretion in interacting with senior management and clinicians
