Join a dynamic and supportive Human Resources team?  In this role you will be responsible for applying business knowledge and human resources expertise while performing a wide range of HR-related duties. You will play a key role in the success of the organization by offering guidance on HR best practices while facilitating a positive relationship between team members and senior management. This position carries out responsibilities in the following functional areas: employee relations, employee development and training organizational development, performance management, onboarding, policy implementation and affirmative action and employment law compliance.

 

What you will do

 

Essential Functions

  • Supports the HR department in implementing and administering programs to help improve the employee experience. Assists in development and implementation of human resource policies and procedures. Recommends new approaches to continually improve efficiency of the department and services performed.
  • Assists in evaluation of reports, decisions and results of department in relation to established goals.
  • Participates in developing department goals, objectives and systems. Provides training and support to HR team members when necessary.
  • Conduct employee onboarding and help organize training & development initiatives
  • Monitors and assist in the administration, communication and training of the performance management cycle and provides input into improvements as necessary. 
  • Provides high-quality advice and guidance to management on complex employee relations and performance management issues. Improves manager and employee performance by identifying and clarifying problems; evaluating potential solutions; implementing selected solution; coaching and counseling managers and employees.
  • Administers compensation plans.
  • Maintains compliance with federal, state and local employment and benefits laws and regulations and assists with management of changes as necessary.
  • Completes special projects by clarifying project objective; setting timetables and schedules; conducting research; developing and organizing information.
  • Protects organization's value by keeping information confidential.
  • Enhances department and organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
  • Other duties as assigned

 

What you can bring

 

Required Education and Experience

  • A Bachelor’s degree in human resources or related field
  • Three to five years progressive experience in a HR generalist role
  • Desire to work as part of a team with a result driven approach
  • Understanding of HR best practices and current regulations; good knowledge of employment/labor laws
  • Sound judgment and problem-solving skills
  • Customer-focused attitude, with high level of professionalism and discretion
  • Proficiency with MS Office suite
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated experience in developing and maintaining effective relationships with employees at all levels of the organization
