Mission

The Marketing Manager, Partner Databases develops, manages and executes integrated marketing campaigns to achieve strategic goals, and analyzes results. The Marketing Manager, Partner Databases is a key marketing contact for database partners; serves as the lead writer/proofreader for partner marketing materials; works with designers and web developers to create compelling marketing materials; and ensures marketing materials are delivered on time and within budget. This role requires a solid understanding of marketing principles, strong communication and copyywriting skills, excellent leadership skills to direct and manage projects, the abity to report and analyze, and exceptional customer service.

 

 

Primary Responsibilities

  • Write copy for brochures, flyers, posters, white papers, website, etc. under the direction of Marketing management
  • Initiate/facilitate ongoing communication/coordination with Product Management and Sales as pertaining to partner databases
  • Serve as proofreader/editor for relevant copy-related projects
  • Serve as Project Lead on all applicable Marketing jobs as assigned
  • Manage Marketing campaigns related to assigned product lines
  • Assist with ongoing management/updating of Marketing website content
  • Assist with managing of data tracking on appropriate Marketing pages
  • Handle additional marketing/communications tasks as directed by Marketing Management

 

Required Qualifications (Measurable)

  • Must have a college degree (Bachelor's); preferably in Communications, Marketing or Business
  • Fluent in English—speaking and writing
  • 2 - 5 years of Product Marketing experience (may include work through college internships or professional work-related experience)
  • Excel experience – must be able to create and interpret Excel files using Sum, Average, Linked Sheets and Pivot tables
  • PowerPoint experience – must be able to create intermediate-level engaging PowerPoint presentations using company standards and incorporating graphics and animation
  • Tableau experience – must be able to interpret revenue and marketing data from Tableau visuals

 

Preferred Qualifications (Measurable)

  • Should be tremendously detail-oriented and conscientious with solid experience working with hard deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Must have an understanding of sales and marketing fundamentals and terminology
  • Must be able to analyze results and develop conclusions based on data
  • Possess the ability to manage dozens of assigned projects at any given time according to business priority
  • Additional advanced/graduate degrees (Communications, Marketing, etc.) and/or knowledge of other languages a plus
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with other EBSCO employees, customers and partners
  • Previous experience with Marketo a plus
  • 1 - 2 years experience of marketing within the information industry
