Multimedia Artist


The Multimedia Artist will be an important member of the Nursing and Allied Health - EBSCO Health team. This team produces training and education videos, illustrations, and animations through creative and original techniques by applying their knowledge of software applications such as Adobe Premiere, Maya, After Effects, and Adobe Photoshop.


The Multimedia Artist will be involved in media production from beginning to end (storyboarding to complete rendering of media). Rooted in EBSCO Health media product design, the Multimedia Artist will lead projects and work collaboratively with the editorial team to execute and complete multimedia-related projects in the pipeline within deadlines. In addition, the Multimedia Artist will work with contract actors and clinical resources to assure context and content quality, as well as accuracy of materials produced. This position will work in concert with other editors on projects as needed in order to achieve overall team/department goals. The Multimedia Artist is also responsible for keeping current with media technology, software, and processes to continuously improve production quality and output. 


Required qualifications:

  • Portolio and/or reel submission must be included in application
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field (Broadcasting, Film, Graphic Arts, or Media Communications) – portfolio and/or reel submission or link will be required
  • 2+ years of demonstrable experience working on multimedia projects
  • 2+ years of experience with software applications: Adobe Premiere, After Effects, and Photoshop
  • 1+ years of technical skill experience: utilizing cameras, audio and computer (PC and Mac) as tools to develop media
  • 1+ years of experience in Color Correction and Grading in Adobe Premiere and/or DaVinci Reserve


Preferred qualification:

  • Skills in both art/ilustration and video editing
  • Self-motivated, thrives in a creative environment
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Knowledge of Maya a plus
  • Interest in science and medical procedures
  • Ability to learn new software and techniques


Submissions without reel or portfolio will not be considered.
