GOBI Library Solutions from EBSCO is seeking an experienced Coordinator who will provide technical support for GOBI’s Book Purchasing and Order Management Team.  This person will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient workflow for a remote team of 20, including contract labor.  This person will play a key role in coordinating our sourcing partnerships and serving as a point-of-contact and subject matter expert for our Workflow Management Tool and New Ordering Platform as it is developed and implemented.

 

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Supports the efficient operation and daily activities of the Book Purchasing and Order Management team including:
    • Provides technical guidance to team and external partners.
    • Builds and maintains critical working knowledge of operations and systems.
      • Effectively queries and analyzes database tables to support business needs.
    • Troubleshoots and maintain critical software tools necessary for team to function efficiently.
    • Enhances and improves existing tools and processes.
    • Develops new, more efficient tools; further automating repetitive tasks.
    • Maintains publisher information and assignments based on changing business landscape.
    • Assists in developing and monitoring key performance indicators.
    • Performs weekly and monthly updates to data and reports.
  • Coordinates efforts of Contract Labor teams including:
    • Develops auditing tools & administering audits on contract labor work.
    • Audits work and maintains effective feedback loop.
    • Implements and maintains workload monitoring and reporting.
    • Provides technical guidance and process support.
    • Trains team as needed.
  • Subject Matter Expert for Workflow Management Tool.
    • Supports ongoing development efforts and increased usage of tool; increasing rate of profiling from digital.
    • Monitors workflow to ensure complete and uninterrupted flow of titles through the process.
  • Coordinates Direct Sourcing Partnerships
    • Monitors & Reports on fulfillment of contract terms.
    • Interfaces with development teams on integration needs and status.
    • Ensures timely set-up and maintenance of ftp directories and other integration needs.
    • Develops and implements test plans in QA environment.
  • Team Subject Matter Expert for team on New Ordering Platform; supporting roll-out and transition needs as it is implemented and expanded.

 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years’ experience in operations, project coordination, data science, order management or similar.
    • Coordinating workloads across teams and locations.
    • Working with diverse cross-functional & remote teams.
    • Coordinating multi-faceted projects.
  • Record of success applying technology to forecast product demand, manage inventory, or similar business applications.
    • Building tools to efficiently and effectively use data to solve business challenges.
    • Troubleshooting and resolving issues with programs and data tools.
    • Data mining and analysis
  • Proven success in supporting and implementing change.
  • Strong leadership and planning ability.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Solid oral and written communication skills; effectively communicating with diverse remote teams.
  • Must possess strong interpersonal skills.
  • Advanced skills and experience with Microsoft Office tools, particularly:
    • Access
    • Excel
    • Power Automate

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Familiarity with the Bookselling or Publishing industry
  • Experience applying Machine Learning/Artificial Intelligence
  • Automating tasks with tools such as:
    • Macros
    • Python
  • Record of success implementing LEAN or similar principles in the workplace focused on continuous improvement.
  • Experience with Workflow Management Systems; preferably including implementation and integration experience.
  • Quality control, auditing, and/or functional testing
  • Proficiency with Tableau; particularly building reports & dashboards
  • Training experience

TARGET ANNUAL SALARY RANGE

$52,355 – 74,795

The actual salary offer will carefully consider a wide range of factors including your skills, qualifications, education, training, and experience, as well as the position’s work location.
