The Training Specialist’s primary function is developing and delivering customer education and optimization opportunities for EBSCO products, services, and enhancements. This includes the creation and maintenance of customer-facing video content, as well as delivery of live, online training for customers to sustain and increase customer retention. The Training Specialist must be able to travel around up to 50% of the time, must be an expert in EBSCO products and services, and must remain abreast of product changes to share updates with customers. The primary territory for this position will be Turkey and Albania. To best support customers in this region, we require candidates who are fluent in Turkish and English, located in Turkey.


EBSCO’s customers are institutions from many sectors, so Training Specialist is responsible for training a wide range of audiences such as academicians, medical doctors and health professionals, students, librarians, corporate and government employees, etc.


Primary Responsibilities:

  • Handle full lifecycle of training activities in Turkey & Albania including planning, delivering onsite or online trainings, and following up trainings.
  • Proactively building territory plans for assigned territory with input from Management and Sales.
  • Identifying desired customer learning objectives and outcomes, based on customer/stakeholder needs assessments.
  • Guiding learners across the lifecycle of their EBSCO products, including best practices and product expertise.
  • Design and deliver live (synchronous), customized product training either onsite or online.
  • Developing and producing quality, branded educational videos and guided learning paths.
  • Preparing user guides and learning materials.
  • Tracking and reporting on all customer activities.
  • Maintaining in-depth product knowledge, including understanding of future enhancements.
  • Advocating on behalf of customers, providing suggestions and feedback regarding product enhancements and improvements to improve product quality.


Required Qualifications:

  • Native speaker fluency in Turkish. Proficient knowledge of the English language in speech and writing
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Organizational skills – Excellent planning and time management
  • Technical acumen – For development of in-depth technical product knowledge and video development
  • Ability to convey complex information in a way that people understand.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office
  • Able to travel.
  • Male applicants should have completed their military service.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in a Customer Success or Customer Service Department
  • Previous training delivery experience
  • Experience hosting live sessions via Zoom, Teams, or other web conferencing tools.
  • Understanding of learning & development, instructional design, content authoring and evaluation methodologies
  • Knowledge of user guide and video creation/editing process and tools such as Camtasia
  • Prior experience administering or using EBSCO products.
  • Experience working with and/or administering a Learning Management Systems (LMS)
  • Experience with Integrated Library Systems / Library Services Platform
