Your Opportunity

The Sales Engineer (a.k.a. Library Service Engineer / Solutions Consultant / LSE) is dedicated to increasing sales and adoption of EBSCO products in Türkiye & Albania through field sales engineering, customer satisfaction driven creative technical solutions, and post-sales customer nurturing activities.

 

The ideal candidate will have a strong computer science / computer engineering (Bilgisayar Mühendisliği) background and will have a track record of excellence in presenting technical details to a variety of audiences.

 

What You’ll Do

You will be the regional authoritative expert on technology aspects of platform functionality, markets, and trends. To achieve this, you will:

  • Strive to be an EBSCO SaaS feature expert. Use the product(s) frequently and thoroughly. Continually increase your knowledge of the technology platform by participating in frequent internal technology trainings and product strategy sessions.
  • Be the EBSCO technology champion for your region. Stay abreast of industry and technology trends. Conduct market research and competitive intelligence.
  • Strive to be a FOLIO and library automation systems expert and act as a champion for the region and work closely with the Director of SaaS Innovation.
  • Ensure the flow of feature enhancement requests from the field into Product Management and the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) process.

Pre-sales customer presentations, meetings, and RFIs/RFPs responses

  • Present SaaS technology solutions as well as new releases and future features.
  • Conduct pre-sales presentations, focus groups, and other consultative customer requirements-gathering exercises via frequent web-based and on-site sessions.
  • Identification of Professional Services custom development requirements and implementation support.
  • Through consulting efforts, establish detailed Statements of Work to ensure successful implementation projects.

 

Post-sales customer interactions

  • Coordinate closely with our Implementation Project Management (IPM) team to ensure that the solutions you’ve designed will be implemented on time and to the client’s specifications.
  • Collaborate with our Customer Satisfaction (Trainers / Support) Team to ensure well-maintained and functioning systems.
  • Conduct post-sales nurturing activities for key accounts.

 

Your Team

You will be welcomed as a member of an experienced Sales Engineer team (Library Services Engineer) covering Europe, the Middle East & Africa. You will be responsible for clients in Türkiye & Albania.

Additionally, you will closely collaborate with our Sales & Customer Satisfaction Team located in Ankara.

 

About You

  • Degree in Computer Science / Computer Engineering (Bilgisayar Mühendisliği)
  • Strong foundation in one or several programming languages and frameworks (Node.js, JavaScript, PHP, Python).
  • 2+ year experience and excellence in presenting, as well as written communication, describing details for technology, Internet, or software application products to internal and external audiences and various levels of management.
  • Ability to travel up to 50% of your time.
  • Fluency in Turkish and English.

 

What Sets You Apart

  • Two (2) plus years of experience managing discovery systems, link resolvers, and/or integrated library systems.
  • Ability to multi-task and work independently is critical while maintaining team involvement and meeting deadlines and deliverables. Extremely organized, detail oriented, and accurate; with strong problem solving and analytical skills.
