Job Summary

The Security & Construction Compliance Manager is responsible for overseeing and enforcing community standards related to physical security, contractor compliance, and construction site integrity. This role ensures that all operations align with Alys Beach’s brand values, safety protocols, and regulatory requirements, while fostering a culture of accountability and proactive risk management. The Security & Construction Compliance Manager is expected to model Alys Beach’s core values of accountability, commitment, integrity, passion, respect, and unity, helping to ensure that Alys Beach remains a safe, vibrant, and harmonious community.

Job Responsibilities

Security Oversight

  • Lead daily patrols and incident response across public and private areas.
  • Coordinate with local law enforcement and emergency services for incident management and community safety.
  • Train and enforce photography, curfew, and visitor access policies.
  • Train and supervise security personnel, including shift scheduling and performance evaluations.
  • Assist Director of Security & Construction Compliance with access control credentials and lock audits.

Construction Compliance

  • Monitor active construction sites for adherence to community standards, including cleanliness, noise control, parking, and safety.
  • Enforce builder regulations and issue fines or corrective actions for violations.
  • Maintain digital incident tracking and compliance logs.
  • Collaborate with contractors and project managers to ensure site readiness and minimal disruption to residents.

Operational Coordination

  • Work closely with Town Operations, Residential Programs, and Community Projects teams to align compliance efforts.
  • Participate in zone defense strategy for site monitoring and staff accountability.
  • Support hurricane and emergency preparedness planning, including zone assignments and staff mobilization.

Training & Communication

  • Develop training materials and quick-reference guides for staff on compliance protocols.
  • Conduct onboarding and refresher sessions for field employees and contractors.
  • Serve as a liaison between homeowners, merchants, and internal departments regarding compliance concerns.
  • Train and monitor MS Shift software processes and procedures.

Job Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in security management, construction oversight, or municipal compliance.
  • Strong knowledge of local regulations, safety standards, and community operations.
  • Proven leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication and conflict resolution abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and incident tracking platforms.
  • Valid driver’s license; ability to operate golf carts and e-bikes.
  • OSHA 30 or equivalent construction safety certification preferred.
  • Class D security license preferred.
  • Security-related credentials (e.g., CPP, CISM, or similar) preferred
  • Familiarity with HIPAA compliance and privacy protocols is a plus.
