As an IT Intern at Alys Beach, you will be responsible for providing technical support to our staff and participating in various IT projects. This position will allow you to apply your technical knowledge in a real-world setting, assisting with the maintenance and troubleshooting of our IT infrastructure. You will work closely with our experienced IT professionals, gaining exposure to a wide range of technologies and systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide first-level support to staff, addressing technical issues related to hardware, software, and network systems.
• Assist with the setup, configuration, and maintenance of IT equipment and systems.
• Participate in the installation and upgrade of software applications.
• Support the IT team in managing network security measures.
• Help organize and manage IT inventory, ensuring all equipment is accounted for and in good working order.
• Assist in the planning and execution of IT-related tasks for events, including after-hours support as needed.
• Perform other related duties and projects as assigned.

Requirements:

• Must be in college and working towards a degree in computer science or IT.
• A minimum of 6 months of technical experience, obtained through school, work, or a combination of both.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a keen interest in technology.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to lift and move items weighing 15 to 44 pounds.
• Flexibility to work after hours as needed, especially during events.
