Job Summary

Alys Beach is seeking an experienced Pool Deck Supervisor. This position is located at The Beach Club, in Alys Beach Community, Florida. The Beach Club is a very unique pool experience with a team service mentality. The Pool Supervisor must be able to wear a few hats and wear them well.  This position requires a high amount of self-motivation and dedication to a job well done all while being a Captain of The Beach Club as well as Alys Beach at all times.  The Pool Deck Supervisor must be accessible and visible to homeowners, homeowner’s guests, as well as staff, at all times during the day maintaining a vigilant watch on the pool deck, and the cleanliness and tidiness of all areas of The Beach Club including restrooms and cabanas. The Pool Deck Supervisor is a very important member of our service team. The persons applying for this job should be full of energy, have a positive outlook, and an aptitude for genuine hospitality.

 

$20.00 per hour. First day medical benefits and company profit sharing. $1,000 sign-on bonus for this position.

Job Responsibilities

  • Supervise the pool deck and ensure it is crisp and ready to great homeowners and homeowner guests
  • Make certain staff is well prepared and informed of daily activities and duties
  • Supervise the Pool Attendant staff and anticipate needs and be pro-active to get the staff prepared for their shift and keep them engaged throughout the day.
  •  Stay vigilant and make certain we are operating in the best interests of our guests and business
  • Create and supervise daily tasks with efficiency and cleanliness in mind
  • Pay close attention to our operation to ensure that we are operating a safe environment for our guests and staff.
  • Play a strong support role in making sure our daily operations are being tended to for guest experience.  Examples would be Lounge Chaises set, Umbrellas open, Towels, Bathrooms ready, Water bottle amenity, inventory, etc.
  • Be a constant presence on the pool deck during the day The Lead Pool Attendant must always be visible and interacting with guests and staff
  • Assist guest with lounge chaise and needs.
  • Consistently bring ideas to the table about positive ways to improve service from first hand daily experience and interactions
  • Communicate effectively and respectfully with guests, staff, superiors, and vendors
  • Maintain quality standards
  • Make decisions in a time pressured environment
  • Responsible in handling challenging situations
  • Maintain a strong leadership mentality focused on a team environment
  • Resolve customer and staff issues
  • Monitor and evaluate employee performance while being a learning tool for associates to consistently rely on to gain perspective and direction
  • Order supplies and manage deliveries.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain a calm professional demeanor during periods of stress
  • Experience working on pool deck preferred.
  • A working knowledge of Florida Health and Safety regulations preferred.
  • CPR certification preferred.

Essential Job Function

  • Ability to stand for 8 hours
  • Ability to communicate clearly and professionally both verbally and in writing
  • Ability to work on weekends and holidays
  • Ability to work overtime
  • Ability to work outside in all weather conditions and tolerate exposure to heat, cold, and humidity.
  • Ability to reach, bend, squat, carry weight up to 50 pounds.
