Job Summary
InPower Solutions is a leading manufacturer of complex electrical switchgear and motor control systems, delivering high-quality, engineered solutions that power critical infrastructure and industrial operations. Our Houston facility serves as a central hub for manufacturing excellence, and we are seeking a Warehouse Manager to lead and optimize our material flow operations.
The Warehouse Manager is responsible for overseeing all warehouse operations, ensuring the efficient receipt, storage, handling, and distribution of materials critical to the production of complex electrical assemblies. This role plays a key part in maintaining production continuity, inventory accuracy, and safety compliance in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
The ideal candidate brings strong experience in warehouse operations within an electrical or industrial manufacturing setting, with a deep understanding of BOM-driven inventory, electrical components, and production support.
Job Responsibilities
Warehouse Operations & Logistics
- Lead day-to-day warehouse activities including receiving, put-away, picking, kitting, and shipping
- Ensure timely and accurate delivery of materials to support production schedules
- Optimize warehouse layout and workflows to improve efficiency and reduce handling time
Inventory Management
- Oversee inventory control processes including tracking of electrical components, assemblies, and raw materials
- Collaborate with procurement and production teams to manage material availability and minimize shortages
- Implement best practices for managing high-value and long-lead electrical components
- Utilize ERP/MRP systems to monitor inventory levels, transactions, and reporting
Team Leadership & Development
- Supervise, coach, and develop warehouse staff, including leads, clerks, and material handlers
- Establish clear performance expectations and drive accountability for KPIs
- Foster a culture of safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement
Safety & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with OSHA and company safety standards, particularly for handling electrical components and heavy materials
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment
- Conduct regular safety audits and training
Job Requirements
- 5+ years of warehouse or materials management experience in a manufacturing environment
- 2+ years in a supervisory or management role
- Experience supporting production operations (kitting, BOM-based picking, just-in-time delivery)
- Familiarity with electrical components, switchgear, motor controls, or industrial equipment
- Strong working knowledge of ERP/MRP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Epicor, or similar)
- Proven success managing inventory accuracy and warehouse performance metrics
- Ideal experience in electrical manufacturing or engineered-to-order environments
- Ideally knowledgeable of lean manufacturing, 5S, and continuous improvement methodologies
- Forklift certification and familiarity with warehouse equipment
