Pay Range:  $51,200.00 to $67,800.00 

Job Summary

Join our team in Houston, TX as a Production Technician III, where you will play a critical role in the assembly, manufacturing, and processing of commercial products. This position is designed for experienced individuals who can independently manage complex production tasks while maintaining adherence to precise product specifications and safety regulations. You will engage closely with blueprints, diagrams, and standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure that all manufactured items meet stringent quality standards and production goals.

In this role, you will be empowered to troubleshoot equipment, optimize manufacturing processes, and maintain accurate records that support both internal performance monitoring and compliance obligations. This position reports directly to a supervisor and offers opportunities to apply a broad and deep skill set gained through 3-5 years of relevant experience and possibly postsecondary education in manufacturing technology or a related field.

Job Responsibilities

  • Set up, calibrate, and operate production equipment to manufacture, process, and assemble components and finished goods according to detailed blueprints and SOPs.
  • Ensure all production activities comply with predefined quality metrics by monitoring output and making necessary adjustments in real time.
  • Maintain comprehensive and accurate production records, documenting workflow, equipment performance, and any deviations or issues encountered.
  • Perform routine maintenance and troubleshoot technical problems with machines and production lines to minimize downtime and maintain operational efficiency.
  • Collaborate with quality control and engineering teams to implement improvements and resolve production challenges effectively and swiftly.
  • Adhere strictly to all workplace safety standards, including the use of personal protective equipment and safe handling of materials.
  • Train and mentor junior technicians and new team members, sharing expertise to build a cohesive and proficient team.
  • Participate actively in continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing product quality, process efficiency, and workplace safety.

Job Requirements

  • Associate degree in Manufacturing Technology, Industrial Engineering Technology, or a closely related field preferred, or equivalent hands-on experience within a manufacturing environment.
  • 3-5 years of progressive experience in a production, assembly, or processing role, preferably within a commercial manufacturing setting.
  • Thorough knowledge of production machinery, including setup, adjustment, maintenance, and troubleshooting techniques.
  • Proficient in interpreting technical documents such as blueprints, schematics, and operational manuals to guide production processes accurately.
  • Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high-quality output and compliance with regulatory and safety standards.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose equipment malfunctions and initiate corrective actions quickly and effectively.
  • Ability to keep accurate and organized documentation of production activities for internal records and external audits.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams.
  • Commitment to workplace safety, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and following established safety protocols.

Essential Job Function
