The ideal candidate combines strong electrical product knowledge with exceptional customer service and a high level of accuracy and responsiveness.

Job Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for inbound customer inquiries and RFQs via phone, email, and other channels.
  • Develop accurate, competitive quotations for InPower’s low-voltage power distribution and control portfolio, including:
    • UL 891 Switchboards
    • UL 845 Motor Control Centers (MCCs)
    • UL 1008 Transfer Switches (ATS)
    • UL 67 Panelboards
    • UL 508A / UL 698A / UL 1203 Control Panels (as applicable)
  • Review and interpret one-lines, specifications, and drawings to confirm key requirements such as voltage, ampacity, AIC/SCCR, protective device/breaker type, enclosure/NEMA rating, metering/controls, options/accessories, documentation requirements, and testing/FAT needs.
  • Collaborate with outside sales, engineering, and operations to ensure scope clarity, manufacturability, schedule alignment, and a seamless handoff from quote to execution.
  • Coordinate with OEM partners, vendors, and manufacturers to obtain pricing, lead times, and technical data; recommend acceptable alternates/substitutions when allowed.
  • Build customer-facing proposals that clearly communicate inclusions/exclusions, assumptions, alternates, lead time, and commercial terms.
  • Maintain excellent CRM hygiene: ensure every opportunity/quote is logged with complete customer info, scope notes, stage/status, owner, next step, due dates, activities, win/loss notes, and all supporting documents (RFQ package, drawings, vendor quotes, and proposal versions).
  • Execute consistent follow-up on open quotations to convert opportunities into orders; capture win/loss feedback and competitive insights.
  • Support proposal preparation, order processing, and project documentation (submittal coordination support, change documentation, order entry support, etc.) as needed.

Job Requirements

Required Qualifications

  • 3–5+ years of experience in the electrical industry (inside sales, estimating, applications, project coordination, or similar).
  • Strong working knowledge of low-voltage power distribution equipment (switchboards/switchgear, MCCs, ATS, panelboards, and control panels).
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical one-line diagrams, specifications, and technical drawings.
  • Strong attention to detail with proven ability to produce accurate quotes under time constraints.
