Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Water Jet Operator to join our team in Egan, LA. In this crucial role, you will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining water jet cutting equipment to efficiently manufacture, process, and assemble a variety of commercial products. The position involves interpreting and following product specifications, blueprints, and standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure product quality and consistency. You will be key in monitoring production output, identifying quality deviations, and proactively addressing equipment or process issues to uphold our high standards.

Job Responsibilities
- Set up and operate water jet cutting machinery according to product specifications, blueprints, diagrams, and SOPs.
- Load materials and secure components accurately to optimize cutting precision and minimize waste.
- Monitor the cutting process carefully to ensure adherence to quality standards and production metrics.
- Perform routine inspections and calibrations of equipment to maintain optimal functionality and prevent downtime.
- Document production activities meticulously, including recording measurements, output data, and any deviations or equipment malfunctions.
- Collaborate closely with supervisors and team members to address technical issues and implement improvements.
- Follow all established safety procedures, including wearing required personal protective equipment and handling materials safely to prevent workplace incidents.
- Participate in regular training sessions and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and product quality.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations and equipment to support safety and operational excellence.
Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- 0 to 1 year of experience in a manufacturing or production environment preferred, but not mandatory.
- Basic understanding of reading technical documents such as blueprints, diagrams, and SOPs.
- Ability to operate industrial machinery with attention to detail and adherence to safety standards.
- Strong manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination for precise machine setup and material handling.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Willingness to learn and take direction from senior personnel and supervisors.
