Job Summary
The Engineering Aide I plays a vital role in supporting the engineering team by assisting with various technical tasks and providing essential project support. Job Responsibilities
- Assist engineers in setting up, operating, and maintaining technical equipment necessary for various tests and project evaluations.
- Monitor ongoing tests and experiments, ensuring safety protocols are observed and accurate data collection procedures are followed.
- Observe test results attentively, documenting findings with precision for further analysis and reporting.
- Compile detailed summaries and technical reports which contribute to project reviews and development decisions.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of workspaces and equipment to support efficient project workflows.
- Collaborate closely with engineering personnel, taking direction from senior team members to accomplish assigned tasks effectively.
- Support troubleshooting activities by preparing materials and assisting in identifying equipment issues during testing phases.
- Participate in routine maintenance checks of laboratory and field equipment, ensuring readiness for experiments and minimizing downtime.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by providing feedback on equipment usage and procedural enhancements.
Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent is required; technical coursework or certifications related to engineering support are advantageous.
- 0-1 year of general work experience preferred, ideally in a technical or engineering-support environment.
- Basic understanding of engineering principles, laboratory or field test procedures, and technical equipment operation.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately record and interpret experimental data.
- Effective communication skills to follow instructions, report observations clearly, and collaborate within a team setting.
- Ability to work under close supervision while demonstrating a willingness to learn and take initiative.
- Physical ability to handle equipment setup, including lifting and moving moderately heavy devices safely.
- Proficiency with standard office software and an openness to learning specialized engineering software tools as needed.
