Job Summary

The Marketing Manager will develop and execute strategic, financial and marketing plans across the legacy hunting brand portfolio to deliver PRADCO’s revenue growth objectives.  Working with external and internal resources, this position is responsible for overseeing NPD management from a packaging and go-to-market focus, marketing communications, media and advertising, and tradeshows.  The Marketing Manager owns all brand positioning, imagery, and competitive positioning.  The Marketing Manager will be both a strategic thinker as well as a tactical executer who will strive in a growth-oriented environment.

 

Job Responsibilities

 

Scope & Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with General Manager and Business Unit Brand Management to ensure that brand strategy, brand messaging, and brand standards are adhered to in marketing plans, merchandising and promotions, and packaging designs.
  • Manage and monitor the content development for public relations, customer communication, media and other appropriate channels to effectively represent its brands to customers and consumers.
  • Manage the disbursement of the marketing budget by Brand/ Category in areas with greatest consumer reach and impact.

 

Specific Duties:

  • Direct the development of annual marketing plans that align with PRADCO Hunting’s Strategic Business Plan and corresponding initiatives.
  • Owns the relationship with those that create imagery, value proposition, and competitive positioning for all brands in the portfolio.
  • Manage outside partners including advertising agencies and other marketing services vendors.
  • Identify opportunities to drive innovation and continuous improvement of the brand portfolio.
  • Develop, manage, administer, budget, monitor, and report on use of company resources as required.
  • Direct Marketing activities for the brands -- digital assets, promotions, PR, advertising, media acquisition, social media, printed collateral, catalogues, corporate partnerships, tradeshows, and other activities as required.
  • Select advertising agency, PR agency, digital agency, packaging and merchandising agency, including create, direct, and manage Scope of Work (SOW).

 

Job Requirements

 

  • B.S. or B.A. from an accredited college/university in Marketing, Business, or related field.
  • A minimum of 5 years successful brand building/ marketing experience required.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in completing and managing projects with minimal oversight and against aggressive timelines.

 

Preferred Skills

 

  • Knowledge of fundamental market research techniques; demonstrated ability to develop research strategies to determine customer requirements and evaluate market competition.
  • Possess excellent project management track-record: print, web, public relations, social media, digital advertising and merchandising skills.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite; Outlook; PowerPoint.
  • A background in the hunting, fishing or outdoor sporting goods market is highly preferred.
