We are seeking an experienced Vice President of Hardware Engineering to drive innovation for Moultrie Mobile products. Your team will be responsible for the hardware product lifecycle, from strategy and roadmap creation to product design and development to drive sales growth. You will leverage your network to identify strategic technologies for research and development and collaborate with our software team to deliver an integrated user experience. You are a leader and a communicator. You are passionate about product design, engineering, quality, and user experience with a track record of delivering at scale.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Recruit, mentor, and lead a high-performing hardware design and engineering team
  • Partner with the software team to develop seamlessly integrated hardware-software experiences
  • Ensure product quality through vigorous pre-production testing and manufacturing quality assurance standards
  • Coordinate work across internal engineering and external partners to scope, plan, and execute product development within budget and timeline goals
  • Implement engineering best practices
  • Ensure adoption of product design and engineering best practices to create compelling, cost-optimized products
  • Cultivate relationships with leading component manufacturers and distributors to drive innovation
  • Support sales activities through participation in tradeshows and presentations to key customers
  • Work with the leadership team to make decisions that impact Moultrie Mobile

 

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
  • 10 years of experience leading electrical engineering projects and teams
  • Experience in high-volume consumer electronics architecture and systems design
  • Experience working with contract manufacturing partners in Asia

 

Preferred Skills/Qualities:

  • Subject Matter Expertise in RF, Battery Power, and Imaging
  • Experience working on an integrated hardware-software consumer product
  • Ability to form effective cross-functional relationships and to communicate product design requirements clearly
