Moultrie Mobile - Backend Software Developer

PRADCO Outdoor Brands is looking to add a Backend Software Developer to its Moultrie Mobile team. This position will be focused on implementing new features and creating solutions for the Moultrie Mobile platform, as well as other hunting division software projects. On a day-to-day basis, you will be responsible for the server-side web application logic as well as for the integration of the front-end of our application. You will also be responsible for developing and managing 3rd party integrations and our external API. As a senior member of the engineering team, you will take lead on projects as needed to offer design suggestions, review pull request, and mentor colleagues. As a “high confidence, low ego” team player, the Backend Developer will work cross-functionally with Product Development, Engineering, Customer Service, Marketing, Operations and Sales Teams to ensure the completion of visions and timelines set by the business.  He or she will aggressively grow the business by thoroughly understanding the marketplace and competition, and by developing products that address consumer needs and staying abreast of the latest software trends.


 Key tasks include:


• Collaborate with frontend developers, product manager, and business stakeholders

• Define and communicate technical and design requirements

• Build high-quality reusable code that can be used in the future

• Troubleshoot and debug code

• Stay up to date with current best practices and technologies

• Conduct tests and optimize performance of our code base

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team of designers, developers, and stakeholders


 Basic Qualifications:


• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering or related field (or equivalent years’ work experience)

• Minimum of 2 years of experience working as a Software Engineer

• 1 year of experience working in an agile / iterative development environment.


Preferred Qualifications:


• Experience building integrations with third party API systems

• Strong coding experience in C#, .NET

• Experience architecture/development in the cloud

• Experience with queuing systems (such as Rabbit MQ) is a plus.

• Familiarity with software development, tracking, project management, and communication tools (e.g. - Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, Zoom, Office 365,)

• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
